My college experience

The placements of college is good the academics and management of college are bad.

I took JEE mains and scored 187 in mains and 91.67 % in 12th hsc. I came to know that this is one of best colleges in maharashta.

the course structure is decided by the senior staff in meeting and is updated every year as required. There are no proper lab facilities at VJTI . The infrastructure is very old and not properly maintained. There are no facilities of internet on the campus.

No, our college does not provide internship. whereas companies come to campus to recruite interns . Companies like samsung, microsoft, amazon, credit suisse, morgan stanley,etc come to campus

Placements are the only good thing about VJTI college. The placements of computer science department are very good. The average package for computer science department is 8 lakhs. Samsung gives around 16 lakh, amazon gives 12-14 lakhs, Rakuten offers 30 lakh.

We have a cultural event called pratibimb and we have a technical event called technovanza...and there events related to entrepreneurship which are conducted by entrepreneurship cell of VJTI. there is a marathi cultural fest called rangvardhan. There is also ganeshutsav celebration in college.

For general category the yearly fees of college is around 60 thousand rupees and the yearly hostel fees is around 20 thousand rupees and the mess fees is around 16 thousand rupees per semester. The fees is not that expensive as VJTI being a government college

SBI gives student loan but is not that good, many scholarships are offered to students they are displayed on notice board.

The campus life on VJTI is good there 1 is to 3 gender ratio. There are no proper sports facilities available for students on campus. There are debates and robotics competitions during fests in december. There is no internet facility on campus. There is a net lab but it closes at 11 p.m. at hostel there is internet.

The hostel is in very bad condition . As VJTI being an old infrastructure the hostel of VJTI are in bad condition. The hostel does not get renovated. The mess food is bad for first 3 year students . There is a good mess for final year student. There is no facility to have food at night.

There is an alumni association for maintaining contacts with alumni and conducting a yearly program of college reunion for alumni.

There are 3 exams 2 In semester tests and one end semester test. The labs are not so good . before exams there is lot of submission work for labs and assignments. 2 weeks before end semester test are very hectic due to vivas and submission...The end sem is not hectic

I filled my choices through the dte website. And there were centers to submit the choices form along with 10th,12th marksheet xerox and it was around month june when this process was going on and final admission was done by end of july and college started in first week of august

as it is said there is no such thing as good faculty after your 12th is completed. You will find out what they say is true once you get in VJTI. The faculty for Btech computer science is not good at all. Faculty is very inexperienced . they do not focus on encouraging students for new projects.
