Course Curriculum Overview
I preferred this course Artificial Intelligence because I was always interested in Data Science and it has great scope ahead. The faculty: student is about 1: 30 The faculty members and the course structure is the best in this college and unlike other colleges, this college focuses on the technical skills of students, from the first year we're introduced to advanced topics so that until the fourth year we will be already experienced in these skills. The teachers are very experienced and have vast knowledge about their fields, they always keep motivating us in times of need and help us out with any doubts or problems. The faculty is never rude, we have a feedback form online which helps us to give feedback to teachers anonymously. There is now only 1 final exam and there are reviews on projects that we make in every sem.\ The term exams were difficult and in-depth questions on the topic were asked but because the colleges give enough time to study and work on projects, time management is really easy.
Internships Opportunities
There were internships offered in the college but they all were paid internships and the because the students keep the companies to themselves it was not very well known that's why I don't have any idea about them and its the same in every college the opportunities are not shared by any students but yes the staff do share all the details if any opportunity is available.
Placement Experience
From the 6th semester, students become eligible for campus placements and many companies visited the campus which was Wipro and many more, the list is available on the official website of VIT Pune. The highest package offered was 33 lakhs by Amazon for SDE. Overall placements in this college are 80%
Fees and Financial Aid
The cost to study in this college is just similar to any other college out there but there are no stupid fees on everything. The fee amount for the course I applied for is 183000. I've applied for a scholarship which waived off the whole college fees, I've to pay for my accommodation and that's all. The staff which handles all the financial activities of the students is great and provides every help possible. I'm in my second year right now and because of the corona outbreak our first year was online and for a short amount of time so there is still a lot to learn before I apply for the job or internship.
Campus Life
There is an annual fest and tech fest every two months, some of them are vishwakarandak, vishwausav, and lounge in December. All these fests do have a specific time in the year and may vary and all of them are great to attend. There was a mismatch last year where we wear mismatched outfits that don't suit us and many more fun activities like this. The management department in our college never disappoints us. There are all the books in the library available related to the curriculum and they do have all the old IT books which I never used in the college so can't say muaboutbou them but there are also the reading halls where students hang out and study in the college. There is vishwakarandak where all the branches compete for the trophy in all kinds of sports, from cricket to table tennis and from gaming to programming. There are many social groups and clubs which is operated by students and their website is also or apps are also run by students. like MUN, IEEE, etc
