Remarks
You can get admission in UIET MDU through your CRL in JEE MAINS for the BTech program.You must attend HSTES counselling for admission in Haryana colleges for engineering. If you get a seat in MDU from HSTES you must reserve it by paying the token fees of 10,000. Else you can be admitted here through physical counselling for the left out seats. There are multiple reservation schemes available for Haryana residents, SC/ST, EWS, TFW, etc.
Course Curriculum Overview
Doing Computer Science from UIET MDU is far better than doing any other courses here. There are about 80-90 faculty members in the college. The faculty is well educated in their respective fields but they are more conscious about completing their syllabus. The semester is for about min. 90 days and there are two sessionals in between those semesters.
Internships Opportunities
The placement cell of UIET MDU collaborates with various different platforms like coffee.io etc to provide better internship opportunities to the students although in most cases students grab their internship opportunities on their own.
Placement Experience
There is a placement cell of UIET MDU that organizes various placement drives under TPO. The On-campus placement is average as you can get an average salary of about 4-5 LPA if you are a CSE student. Placements in other branches are very poor. Although there are some students who get the off-campus placement of around 13-18 LPA. Some crossed that make too. For On-campus opportunities companies like Infosys, Wipro, Nagarroo, JSW, HCL, NIIT, Legato, Daffodils, NEC, Mercer, etc visit every year. If you have skills, yes you can get good placements from this college but not On-campus.
Fees and Financial Aid
If you fall under any category, you can easily get a scholarship from the college. There are various schemes for different minorities. For instance, if you fall under SC/ST category you just need to pay. 1 as your semester fee, Kashmiri migrants just pay 46 as their fee along with that they get a scholarship of 8000 per month also. However, if you are an EWS candidate you can also avail of a scholarship of 10, 000 by NSP. Fees are very generic as it is a state University.
Campus Life
The best thing you would love about college is campus life. There are various student clubs like sports, dance, theatre, music, instrument, etc. There is a mighty center library which is more than enough for any course consisting of lacs of books, and reading halls open 24x7. There are two big(really big) auditoriums, a cricket stadium, an indoor stadium, a synthetic court, a Students Activity Center, and a swimming pool. Multiple opportunities for sports enthusiasts.
