Remarks

The admission process was on a merit and ranking basis. The entrance exams for admission are WBJEE and JEE Main. There is also a management quota available for the students which are not good in my point of view and relatable to the hard-working students. Anyone can find the details of the application form and the required dates on the official website of WBJEE which is wbjee.nic.in. If you belong to West Bengal with a family of lower income then you are eligible for the benefits of a TFW candidate. Under the TFW category, your tuition fee will be reduced. You can check all the details on the official website of WBJEE.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

I have chosen the CSE branch because it has a wide scope for jobs and development in today's world. The number of faculty members is good with average knowledge. They are qualified but it would be not much beneficial for students as the students cannot depend on them directly for studies. There is a system of taking class tests monthly and semester exams at the end of each semester which is not that much difficult to pass.

Placement Experience

3

The placement percentage is quite good in IT branches. From the 6th semester, you will be eligible for campus placements depending on your merits. Many companies visit our campus like TCS, WIPRO, TECH MAHINDRA, etc. The highest package is around 45 lakh this year and the average package is 3 lakh per year. An average number of students who get placements. I want to build my career in the coding world after getting the degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fees are affordable and not too much costly. The tuition fee is around 100000 per year and the hostel fee is 12000 per semester excluding the mess fees. Mess charges depend on you. There is no scholarship opportunity on the college side, but there are scholarships provided by the West Bengal government.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life in my college is good. There is a very large campus covered by green grasses with a beautiful view. Two fests take place every year. Tech fest named PRAYUKTI and cultural festival named RIVERA is very much enjoyable. There is a central Library named ARYABHATTA library. The classroom is average. There are a lot of extracurricular activities on campus. There are lots of groups and clubs like AIEEE, CSI, dance club, HAITIAN inside, etc. Overall campus life is good.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Hostel life is average. You have to share your room with two or three students more. There are public washrooms available on each floor. Mess food is not good. Food quality is very poor. The hostel will be allotted on the day of admission. If you want to live in a rented room Or PG you can go ahead. There is also a Wi-Fi facility available in our hostel. The water cooler is also available for chilled water.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
