Remarks
Admission was through JEE Mains exams. You can find the application form on the site NTA, and it cost around 650/- for one session. I was under the OBC-NCL category. So gave me some reservation benefits too. The admission process is fine.
Course Curriculum Overview
I wanted to choose a core branch in engineering and being from Uttar Pradesh, KNIT has one of the best Electrical Engineering Department. The faculty is quite well qualified and PhD holders from IITs (Dr KS Verma sir, Dr SM Tripathi sir, Dr Deependra sir, etc ). Their teaching method is quite good too. The new innovative methods and interactive sessions really help us all. Semester exams were at the exact time and it was like if you have studied well, you can pass the exams easily.
Placement Experience
From the 6th semester, students become eligible for placements. There are many companies visiting like Optum, Infosys, Wipro, HCl, Ittium, L&T, Microsoft, Google, etc. The highest package was 53LPA and the lowest was 3-4 LPA. Almost 80% of students got placed. My plan is to go for higher studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is amazing and affordable. 73850/- is one yearly cost. You can avail scholarship too if your family income is less than 2 lacs. That Scholarship is named UP Govt. Scholarship. I'm currently a second-year student at this college.
Campus Life
The annual fest at the national level is Anubhuti, and due to covid it wasn't conducted in previous years but now it will be conducted in upcoming months for sure. The availability of books & journals is very good. Research papers, etc can easily be found in the library and the environment is friendly too. All the basic amenities are there in classrooms along with smart-tech gadgets. When it comes to Sports and extracurricular activities, this institute is one of the best, as it has almost every sport you can imagine of. There are many social groups, clubs, forums, etc run by students and monitored by faculty as well. To be precise there are 22 clubs in KNIT.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility is quite good. There are a total of 10 boys' hostels and 4-5 girls' hostels. You'll get a bed and a study table in your room along with a fan, tube lights with 24 hours electricity and water supply. There are two seater and three seater rooms available. Mess food quality is quite good here, to be honest. The menu is interesting and tasty as well, if the quality deteriorates, you can complain and get it restored. Also, 2 times non-veg available in a week. The registration process is quite easy as it gets along with the time of admission process only and it is affordable as well. If you rented a room or PG, it will be around 200-300 metres from College.
