Remarks

College is under Delhi Government so infrastructure isn't that great but this is one of the best colleges of Delhi University.

Entrance Preview

None. It was on merit basis. There are entrance exams and interviews for some courses but for commerce related courses, there's no exam or interview.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum is marvelous. Here, we have subjects like Taxation, Financial Management, Economics (Micro & Macro), Audit, Financial Reporting, Information Technology, Cost Analysis etc. So, one can by doing a professional course after pursuing it like CA, CFA etc can have a bright future.

Internships Opportunities

There is no internship facility provided by the college hence there's no scope for stipend and overall experience.

Placement Experience

3

Placement is quite good and listed companies like Tata, Genpact etc come and recruit. Annual offered package starts from 3 lacs and goes upto 24 lacs. A student has to face the interview after passing the written exam conducted by the college. Normally, many students are able to get placed.

College Events

4

Events: There is a freshers' party. It is held in September and they do charge but that is as less as 1000/- Then an annual fest where a singer from bollywood is a guest. The annual fest takes place in February and crowd gets frenzied. Annual college elections are also conducted in September.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is very economical. Average annual fees would be 7 to 8000. Highest would be around 25000/- and lowest would be 4000. One from a lower class or a middle class can easily study here and get a job post studies. Even celebrities like Shahrukh Khan has passed out from the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since the college is under Delhi Government so the fees isn't much. For the commerce courses, fees is around 6000/- and the highest fees is for Computer Science which has fees of around 25000/-.

Campus Life

3

Campus life is amazing. The college ranks in top 3 in sports especially Basketball and Cricket. Also, there are several socities like Drama society plus NCC is also there. Gender Ratio is quite good. Fresher parties and annual fests are much awaited by the entire university. There is no scope of RAGGING and the college takes measures for it by deploying police and cameras.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Hostel is good and warden makes sure that no male enters the female hostel area and vice-versa. Mess and Canteen are good but not upto mark. Cost of the eatables is very reasonable and almost hygienic. The canteen's caterer is providing the catering services for years and even BOLLYWOOD MOVIES ARE SHOT IN CANTEEN.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni and Senior students were very helpful and you can even ask for queries by visiting the staff rooms etc.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is quiet good. Internals take place in November-December while the Final exams are conducted in May-June. Maximum marks are 100 and a few courses involve practicals as well. College provides more than enough leaves between 2 exams and one can easily prepare for the papers and appear to pass with the flying colors.

Admission

Process starts from filling up the Delhi University admission forms and then the college announces the cut-offs and if you fulfil the cut off criteria then you can go get yourself admitted by submitting the relevant documents along with the fees. It also has a criteria to admit students on the basis of sports Quota.

Faculty

4

Faculty is good as the college is one of the best colleges of Delhi University as well as among the other Indian Universities like Mumbai University, Kolkata University etc. Faculty is very good and helpful when it comes to solve the queries and doubts.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
