Remarks

The admission I got was from the keam exam it's the state govt entrance for engineering. The whole admission and allotment process took place through the keam site after we are allotted to a college we go there and take admission.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am interested in electronic devices so to learn more about processors and other components in electronic devices in general I chose this course. There are enough teachers for the students present. The teachers are all amply qualified, the exams are conducted properly and they were moderately difficult.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 34000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are some internship offers received in our college. And we also get a stipend of we to get selected a monthly stipend of 6 to 8k is what I know. Around 10 students were selected from the mechanical department of Tata, Elxi to develop a hybrid vehicle engine.

Placement Experience

The students are eligible for the campus from the 6th semester onwards. Some of the companies visited are Wipro, TCS, Tata, Elxi, Byjus, Azure, Microsoft, etc. I want to get a job in placement and after working for some time I also have plans to go abroad for higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are accurate and affordable I do not know anything about scholarships but there is very career guidance and placement unit on our campus and the placements are good. A lot of companies come and many students are recruited each year.

Campus Life

The campus is not big enough for an engineering college. Campus life is okay not great, the annual fest is the cult way it is one of the biggest fest conducted in Trivandrum a lot of famous artists, and actors have in the past come as a chief guests it takes place in kanakakunnu. The tech fest is advent. There are limited sports facilities.

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from the third semester onwards. Toward the end of the third semester, companies start to approach you based on your cgpa and SGPA. If you have good marks stipend is provided.

I choose this college because it has vibrant campus life and freedom.It also has good placement records,good pass percentage. I also took due to distance advantage.This college also has good faculty, teaching. Although the campus is small, the infrastructure is well maintained. It has well structured labs.I also looked for cet, Trivandrum but I didn't get it because of my keam rank. The exam accepted for the course is keam and most of the students prefer it. Students can also join this college by nri quota without any entrance exam by giving more fees.I got admission in ece in sctce in the keam 1st allotment itself....Read More

A look inside Sct - Campus life, Academics and more

The main reason I chose this college was because this as under the Government of Kerala. It is held jointly by both government and ksrtc. This the standard of teachers will be better than other private colleges and campus life would be better as well. I have gotten confirmed admission from Amritha University and FISAT. I chose Sct because of the above given reason and also because of its location in trivandrum. I had applied to both Cet and Gect but I didn't pass the cutoff. The admission price for SCTCE is through KEAM which is held by the government of Kerala.
