Review on CGC Jhanjeri

Hi, I am a b.tech student at CGC Jhanjeri and the thing that I want to tell you is that there is no entrance exam in this college means you will get direct admission and also that in minimum marks. But before you take admission you should know that the college is very strict in all aspects and the most important thing syllabus is completed only one week after semester exams so you have to be self-prepared. The campus is very small and 4-5 shops are open inside for food, stationery and day-to-day products. And the most important thing which is about the hostel is it's very nice and the wardens are also lenient. You will definitely enjoy your hostel life.

I choose this course because I have an interest in this field and when you are talking about Cgc the teachers are highly qualified but some of them are so lazy that they even don't complete the syllabus for the semester exams so we have to self-study every time. There are 2 midterms in a semester and each of 24 marks and they take the average of that for the internals. As the semester exam is conducted under PTU it's a little bit tough to get good marks.

In CGC from the 6th semester, you will become eligible for taking part in placements the important thing you should know is that there is a joint placement program between CGC and CU that all the CU and CGC students seats together for placements so it's now in your hand how many packages u can take.

The fee hike policy is that they can increase only 10 per cent of the fees they have charged from u during the time of admission and that is throughout the course. And this goes the same with the hostel also. There is scholarship exam named CGC josh in which you can get enrolled during your first year to get the benefits and for further benefits, you have to score more than 8 SGPA.

In CGC there is no such tech fest but there is fresher's party called Parichay and an annual fest named Pitara nights but both are conducted on the same day so as to save money. They only call Punjabi singers in the fest. In CGC u will get almost every book you need for your course in the library and ebooks are also available.

In the CGC hostel, u will get a room in which 4 have to stay and the most important thing is they only provide the bed, not the mattress and pillows so you have to bring your own. The registration process is very simple and there is no online registration for a hostel. The food they provide is the best from other universities/college hostels.
