Remarks
Eligibility of the course is just to pass 12th although I entered the course through WBJEE which would drastically lower the course fee also the thing that I am a techno student previously that too lowered the semester fee. An aspiring student can easily admit to this college through JEE mains or WBJEE or management quota just by showing the wbjee roll no. The admission dates are approximately from June to September. There are some reservation benefits no not caste reservation benefits but benefits like being a techno student previously as I mentioned previously also they offer various scholarships if the family income of a student is reasonably low.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course I choose is Computer Science and Engineering which is one of the most popular course here at NSEC and also throughout other colleges as all 12 pass out student knows, although course like Electronics and Communication Engineering is also very popular in this college. The student-to-faculty ratio is very good I would say. The faculties here are outstanding in pursuing dr. degree I mean Ph.D., they are also in research and innovations like they collaborate with students to publish research papers and innovation as in some teachers developed a decentralized library system very recently. Now about the teaching of the faculty, they are good at teaching and can teach you the course very effectively if you are ready to learn as well. They provide timely assignments that helped us to cope with the exam pressure.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is around 4L for us please note we are 2020-2024 batch but as we heard that for the current batch the price hike is almost doubled we can say this is ridiculous, also there are some infrastructural changes in the college so they are working towards infrastructure upgradation we can say and to say about financial assistance that being a techno student gave me 60K off on my 3-semester fees, I also mentioned they provide various scholarships as well. Also yes I am currently in the 5th sem but still, the college didn't talk about any internships from college maybe in the 6th sem they will mention it.
Campus Life
The college is not that big as you can see. There is a centralized as well as a decentralized library, the student can only access the decentralized library and yes they update the books in the library and the required books are kinda available except for some exceptional books that I and my friends needed dint get those but collection of the book is okay or more than enough for an average student. The classrooms are good, some the equipped with CCTV, and air conditioning but some are not and talking about sport yes there is an official sports club and recently they had a big event on the sport I'd say the sports club is really active. Also, there are clubs for technology, open source, entrepreneurship, stage performance, etc.
