Remarks

Eligibility for any course from sree chithra thirunal college of engineering is admitted through the Kerala engineering entrance examination popularly known as KEAM. I got a rank of ten thousand so I got a merit seat in the college. there are reservations about many students from OEC, SC, ST, BH, MU etc. no improvement because the overall procedure of keam is easy

Course Curriculum Overview

I was very curious about microcontrollers so I chose electronics and communication. student ratio is more in the college there are 120 students in electronics in batch in my year. there are two classes for each year class EC A and EC B. There are two series of examinations before the main semester examinations they ate of moderate difficulty.

Class Size: 63Course Fees: INR 45000 per year

Placement Experience

from semester six students are eligible to sit for placements. the companies listed in sct are TCS, Wipro, Infosys, byjus, Mahindra, amazon and many more and make about 150 offers every year. the highest package that was given to cse students was 11 lacs per annum and the lowest was 3 lacs per annum. about 80% of students every year get placed

Fees and Financial Aid

Many students in my class have got a fee waiver scheme which waves the fee of a student throughout their BTech years. The fee for state merit is about 36000 per year but there ate extra fees regarding PTA funds and many others so the final fee becomes 45000 and for the management seat the fee is 68000 per year

Campus Life

The annual fest of sree chithra thirunal college is called CULT A WAY. the cultural fest of sct is famous throughout the whole Trivandrum. The fest is conducted every even semester. other than cult a way there are arts and tech fest for sct. the library of sct is well stocked.the classroom contains a projector and a good atmosphere. sports facility in our college is not that good but there is sports spirit among students and seniors conduct many competitions. there are many clubs in college namely CSI for computer science students CEST for electronics students and many more IEEE is highly active in sct

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

I choose this college because it has vibrant campus life and freedom.It also has good placement records,good pass percentage. I also took due to distance advantage.This college also has good faculty, teaching. Although the campus is small, the infrastructure is well maintained. It has well structured labs.I also looked for cet, Trivandrum but I didn't get it because of my keam rank. The exam accepted for the course is keam and most of the students prefer it. Students can also join this college by nri quota without any entrance exam by giving more fees.I got admission in ece in sctce in the keam 1st allotment itself....Read More

A look inside Sct - Campus life, Academics and more

The main reason I chose this college was because this as under the Government of Kerala. It is held jointly by both government and ksrtc. This the standard of teachers will be better than other private colleges and campus life would be better as well. I have gotten confirmed admission from Amritha University and FISAT. I chose Sct because of the above given reason and also because of its location in trivandrum. I had applied to both Cet and Gect but I didn't pass the cutoff. The admission price for SCTCE is through KEAM which is held by the government of Kerala.
