The Kerala engineering entrance examination popularly called keam is the way that anyone can get admission to Sree Chitra thirunal college of engineering. The application form will be available on the entrance commission website 2 months before the exam.

Course Curriculum Overview

I was desiring to get admission in computer science engineering because of less rank I got admission in electronics and communication and now I am loving electronics and communication engineering. The faculty members are less aware of what we study or not some of them are good and provide our necessities some of them are arrogant. The series examinations are a little bit tough and tricky it is easy to pass if we start studying long days before exams the student and faculty ratio is good. There is a minimum of students in each class.

Placement Experience

The students from the sixth semester are eligible for placements many students get placed every year about 75% of students get placed every year in each class the main recruiters are Tata Alexi, zifo, TCS Mahindra, etc. The highest package recorded on the campus is about 13 lacs and the lowest is 4 lacs per year.

Fees and Financial Aid

For the NRI seats, the fee is 1lac per year for state merit, the fee is 36000 per year and for the management seat, the fee is 68000 per year there may be an extra fee for the PTA funds and books and other development funds. we can easily get a fee waiver scholarship if we have high ranks in the class and there is financial assistance for categories like SC, ST, OEC, and many others.

Campus Life

The annual fest is called cult a way which is a cultural fest of SCT there are many fests conducted in our college there are many technical fests conducted by the students and there are many workshops conducted by the college students groups the seniors organize many seminars for juniors about certain courses and topics. the sports facilities in the college are good but there is a lack of space in the college the campus areas are fewer but there is an overall vibe on the campus.

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

I choose this college because it has vibrant campus life and freedom.It also has good placement records,good pass percentage. I also took due to distance advantage.This college also has good faculty, teaching. Although the campus is small, the infrastructure is well maintained. It has well structured labs.I also looked for cet, Trivandrum but I didn't get it because of my keam rank. The exam accepted for the course is keam and most of the students prefer it. A look inside Sct - Campus life, Academics and more

The main reason I chose this college was because this as under the Government of Kerala. It is held jointly by both government and ksrtc. This the standard of teachers will be better than other private colleges and campus life would be better as well. I have gotten confirmed admission from Amritha University and FISAT. I chose Sct because of the above given reason and also because of its location in trivandrum. I had applied to both Cet and Gect but I didn't pass the cutoff. The admission price for SCTCE is through KEAM which is held by the government of Kerala.
