Remarks

Eligibility to the course was deemed through the KEAM entrance examination and marks one scored in higher secondary school.All details about the exam can be found in the corresponding websites.I had availed the OBC category reservation benefits.For that you have to submit necessary documents proving you are eligible for the reservation.

Course Curriculum Overview

I looked into the syllabus of each course offered by the college and found this course to be the most interesting. So I choose this course. The faculty-student ratio seems to be apt. The faculty all are proficient and the teaching methods are satisfactory. The exams were timed perfectly and were moderately hard.

Class Size: 63Course Fees: INR 45000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is such that each semester we have to pay a fees of 45000 for 8 semesters if you got admission in merit seat and 80000 per semester for management admission students. Various Central Government scholarships are available for students.

Campus Life

The life on campus is amazing. Various events take place on all around the year. Cult a way is the annual event of our college and it takes place in April. The libraries are well maintained and filled with books.

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

Sct college- a paradise

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from the third semester onwards. Toward the end of the third semester, companies start to approach you based on your cgpa and SGPA. If you have good marks stipend is provided.

I choose this college because it has vibrant campus life and freedom.It also has good placement records,good pass percentage. I also took due to distance advantage.This college also has good faculty, teaching. Although the campus is small, the infrastructure is well maintained. It has well structured labs.I also looked for cet, Trivandrum but I didn't get it because of my keam rank. The exam accepted for the course is keam and most of the students prefer it. A look inside Sct - Campus life, Academics and more

The main reason I chose this college was because this as under the Government of Kerala. It is held jointly by both government and ksrtc. This the standard of teachers will be better than other private colleges and campus life would be better as well. I have gotten confirmed admission from Amritha University and FISAT. I chose Sct because of the above given reason and also because of its location in trivandrum. I had applied to both Cet and Gect but I didn't pass the cutoff. The admission price for SCTCE is through KEAM which is held by the government of Kerala.
