Remarks

First of all to get into a government college like BMCRI we need to clear the NEET exam conducted by NTA and get a better rank in the same. I got admission to BMC through the AQI quota in which anyone can get into any of the government colleges of the country based on their marks through 15%reservation for the AQI quota. You can apply for the AUQ quota on the NMC website. To apply for the AQI quota you should register by paying 10000(for general students) or 5000( for SC/ST students) through NMC.nic.in I had a reservation for the ST category and my rank was 36965(568 marks) so I BMCRI college in the 2nd round. during my admission time didn't find any inconveniences in the process of admission, and I'm satisfied with the admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose MBBS because it was my dream to become a doctor and that was my parents' wish too. I had not kept any 2nd option other than MBBS. Speaking about the student-faculty ratio there are many professors in every department who are well experienced too, apart from a professor there are PGs who teach us in class and labs. Teaching is completely digital, through a projector. Sometimes well experienced professors use the board. There are three internals conducted for every academic year and the pattern and difficulty level of the paper will be as the main exam papers(RGUHS).

Internships Opportunities

5

Our college is mainly attached to VICTORIA, VANIVILAS, and MINTO eye hospitals and many PHCs come under our college. The patient inflow is very much high in our college and the students get very good exposure to patients and different cases it is about 1 year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees we paid for first-year MBBS is 70170 for college and the mess bill is around 4000 to 4500 per month. In 2nd year I paid 54140 for college and 4000-4500per month for a hostel. The fees are payable according to me. One can maintain the college and hostel fees through his scholarship itself. Names of some sure scholarships: SSP, NSP( for minorities) FFE, etc.

Campus Life

4.5

There are many festivals conducted by our colleges such as cobalt skies, chrysalis, ranakahale( sports meet), etc. cobalt skies and chrysalis are conducted mostly in October and November. We have a digital and a normal library in our college which has all the medical books on the need to study or research. Our classroom strength is 250 and we have big Ac lecture halls which can fit more than 250. The main drawback of our college is that it doesn't have a good playground but students can take part in many competitions as there is good support from the college to participate outside.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Boys have 3 hostels namely BHEEMA(10mins walkable distance from college), THUNGA (near to the college)and VARUNA which is a little far from the college for girls there is one big hostel near the college beside THUNGA hostel. Now I'm staying in the BHEEMA hostel. Here we have 3 shared rooms with attached bathrooms. In the other two hostels, there are no attached bathrooms, only common bathrooms. The rooms are well maintained and the food is very good. We have a South Indian menu in the hostel with all types of breakfast. For the lunching dinner, it is chapati rice sambar or pulau. Non-veg is given Wednesday and Sunday. We have to apply for the hostel during the college admission process and the hostel is allotted based on the vacancy.

Course Curriculum Overview:

curriculum is designed to be highly relevant and comprehensive for modern medical practice.Early Clinical Exposure is One of the strongest aspects of the curriculum is introducing students to patients in their very second year. The final year of the curriculum—the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) is effective it prepares students for the high-pressure environment of Indian healthcare, making them very capable of handling emergencies and outpatient departments (OPD ). Students feel that lectures are still too focused on passive PowerPoint presentations.Rigorous schedule, integrating "Life Skills" or "Stress Management" modules more formally into the foundation course would be helpful. The university exams (RGUHS) are generally fair but require a very high level of descriptive writing and practical precision.
