Remarks

The admission process was on the basis of the ranking secured in the KEAM exam. After the rank is published they provide 3 allotments where we can choose the desired college and if we are above the cutoff rank we get allotted to that particular college.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course since Computer Science is a course very much in demand and will get lots of job opportunities compared to other branches. The faculty ratio is about 1:15.Most of the faculties have a Mtech degree with some having Ph.D. Exams are done on time and exams are with average difficulty.

Class Size: 140Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost to study is a bit high compared to other courses but reasonable. Financial assistance is provided for talented students. I personally haven't received any scholarships from the college. But there are children who get a 100% fee waiver and also some students get a stipend of Rs.15000.

Campus Life

Tech Fest is conducted once a year. Other fest activities are fewer. There are many books available in the library. Talking about sports the college provides a Cricket cum Football ground a basketball ground and a volleyball ground. But sports-related activities are limited. There are many clubs such as Film, Photography, Dance, Fashion, Open source, Cybersecurity, etc Clubs in our college with some monthly activities.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

College at first look, only started a new chapter in here...

I did a blunder as I did wanted to write IMU CET exam but due to a mistake I did forgot to inform the keam management regarding this and both exam coninsided in one day at different places one in Kerala and other in Bangalore.
