Remarks

One good highlight is it gives GATE coaching classes without any extra charges.

Entrance Preview

JEE MAINS, my score was 100. It was ranked best private engineering college by ABP news that's why I took admission. Admission process is very simple.

Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

Our college is affiliated with BPUT which has a good course curriculum but mainly focus on theory rather than practical. They don't focus on research work. Labs of 3 hour are there but they are of no use. From theory point of view course curriculum is very good but from research point it is worse.

Internships Opportunities

No our college doesn't provide any kind of internship. The main thing is they focus only on how to score good marks in University examination not on any industrial application.

Placement Experience

1

Last year placement was worse. For CS students it was good around 90%. For non-cs student placement was about 40-50%. Companies that came to our college were:- 1.Infosys -- 4.25 lac/annum 2.Wipro -- 4.2 lac/annum 3.Mindfire -- 4.1 lac/annum Only IT company comes to our college. In off campus Softronics give good package for ECE students i.e, 6.5lac/annum

College Events

1.5

There are many events celebrated in our college. Some are:- 1.CONSONANCE:-- it is a musical events consisting of dance and song. 2.RHYTHMNOVA:-- It is the annual musical function. 3. ZYGON:--- It is the annual function of our college. 4.INTER COLLEGE BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT. 5.INTER COLLEGE VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible. Institute fees:- 1,15,000 University fees:- 3,000 Hostel fees :- 32,000 The fees is for one year. Every month canteen bill of around 2500. The fees has to be paid at one time. If you join any club then they will charge extra fees for that.

Fees and Financial Aid

College provides a scholarship of RS 12,000 per annum to meritorious students getting above 9 CGPA. Also, college provides some financial help from employee welfare fund to the student in need.

Campus Life

1.5

Campus life is good. Gender ratio is good it is around 25 girls per 30 boys. Its workshop is old so you will face some difficulty while working there. Extracurricular activities are good. They have a music club, excellent gym, guest house for parents and teachers

Hostel Facilities

2

Hostel facilities are good. Hostel rooms are good. Three students are accommodated in one room. They provide us with chairs and study table with 24×7 electricity. Hostel's bathroom and corridors are cleaned on daily basis. There is attendance system if any student is not present in the hostel then automatically a SMS stating that his children is not present in hostel will be sent to parents mobile. About the mess food, sometimes it is worse sometimes it is good.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are good they always provide us how to study, what to do, what not to do. After completing their study they give all their notes and books to the juniors.

Exam Structure

Exam can happen anytime because of introduction of surprise test which are actually surprise to us. Internal exams happen twice in one semester which makes our day a very hectic one because we have to attend classes, labs then again prepare for the next exam. Sessional exams are held once in one semester followed by a grand viva.

Admission

I got in this college through Orissa jee counseling which form was filled just after rank came. After filling the form they provide a date on which you have to go for documents verification. After documents verification temporary allotment was made then final allotment. Then report to the college on the date specified by college and get the admission

Faculty

2

There are some good and some bad faculties. The qualifications of all the faculties are good they all have M.tech degree. Some faculties teach more than one subject. Faculties are helpful. They have only theory knowledge not the practical knowledge. Some faculties didn't know much about the subject they mug up and teach.

The placement opportunities at KIIT are quite good, especially for us the CSE students. The eligibility criteria for campus placements starts from 7th semester. Many well-known companies visit the university every year like TATA Consultancy Services , Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and Capgemini. The average package offered is around 6-8 lakhs and highest package offered around per yr avg is 50-60 lakhs. The percentage of students getting placements is around 90% plus in average per yr. Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.
