Remarks
You have to crack the exam WBJEE with a rank of a minimum of 20000. It is the same type of exam as jee main only the question pattern is different. You can find the examination form in wbjee.nic.in website The admission process was quite good for me.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because my rank was not enough to go to the cs stream. And electrical was the 2nd choice for me. The faculty is good in this college. They support students as much as possible. Each faculty has done their master's from some reputed college. Some of them hold their degrees in phd. Exams here are taken by a university called MAKAUT. We give 4 internal test theories 2 practical internal and 1 theory main and practical main exam in one semester.
Internships Opportunities
Mainly internships are given by some electrical department companies. And a student can opt for IT companies with some coding knowledge. Projects including aiml, robotics, etc. Has to be given in 4th year which will be presented before the companies.
Placement Experience
From the 6th semester along with projects and internships, a student can sit in placements. Companies like TCS, CTS, Accenture, Capgemini, HCL, Wipro etc. Provides placement. Among these TCS and cts are mass recruiters. The highest package given is by TCS digital of 8lpa. And the minimum given by TCS ninja of 3.5 LPA. Around 87% of students get placed every year.
Fees and Financial Aid
In 1st semester you have to give 78k including the admission charge. Then 2nd the semester you have to give 66k. From 2nd year i.e 3rd semester, you have to give 58k each semester. Scholarships like the Vivekananda scholarship, etc. All are applicable here.
Campus Life
Tech fest includes clubs like geekonix which organise a fest which is one of the largest tech fests in south Asia. Our college includes many clubs like cultural, sports, tech, etc. You can search on social media platforms by names such as Eclectica, geekonix, tecnotkarsh, and samaritans.
