MY EXPERIENCE WITH MIT-WPU

A first step is an application form. You can find the application form on the college website, easy to navigate. We weren't charged any fee for the application. Next, we have an entrance test. Because we were the Covid batch, we were given provisional admission. I'm quite satisfied with the admission process.

I chose this course to get global exposure. The faculty is quite good, above par, and there's one faculty assigned per 100 students which I think is quite fair. All the faculties are very well qualified, each one having cleared at least CA exams. A few of them carry doctorates too. Exams are held twice every trimester and the difficulty level I would say was medium because of the online mode.

The roles offered are mainly trainees and HR recruiters. Internships can also be external. We're excepting companies like Deloitte, KPMG, ET, etc. for internship opportunities.

MIT WPU would be one of the top colleges in Pune when it comes to placements. We get highly reputed companies on your campus for recruitment including the big 4. Placements start for students towards the end of sem 1 of the final year and go on up to the end of sem 2. The average package offered to freshers is around 4.5 lakhs per annum excluding a sign-up bonus and other incentives. Around 70-80% of the students get placed every year. I'm looking to get placed after completing my degree.

Fees are 120000 per year plus miscellaneous expenses like exam fees etc. There are various scholarships offered based on different criteria and quotas. The percentage of scholarship can vary from 25% to even 100% depending on your scores or criteria fulfillment. In the last 3 months of the course, we even have a compulsory internship process provided by the college. The stipend depends on the skills level of the individual.

The classrooms are well equipped with smart boards, benches, Wi-Fi, etc. The college has a huge library called WORLD PEACE LIBRARY to impart all the kinds of knowledge you would crave for. Life at the campus is also very happening given that you have a chance to make friends with people from all parts of the country and even international students. The college often teams up with external bodies to come up with various events to keep the student's social life active. We also have various clubs like photography, music, social, and business clubs, etc and all of these are run by student representatives.
