Remarks
The admission I got is through the KEAM entrance exam conducted by Kerala examination authorities, if anyone wants admission to the CS branch they at least need 5000 ranks to get admission. Otherwise, it is based on luck in the spot admission process.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose the course of computer science engineering because I am passionate to know about working on web applications and stuff like that. I got a chance to study this course at a government college so I chose it. According to my 3-year experience in college, the CSE branch faculty is average not too boring or good. The faculties during my second year were too good one teacher was a rank holder, and another studied at IIT. Exams were conducted as series 1,2 and final end-semester exams.
Internships Opportunities
Many study clubs in college are active and they provide internship opportunities from Google cloud and other various paid programs. There is also have IEEE Community in college which brings vast opportunities for talented students.
Placement Experience
From semester 7 onwards students get placed. Mostly TCS, and Wipro are hiring students almost 40 to 50 percent of students in the computer science branch are getting placed. The average package should be around 3-5 lakh per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
The cost of study in GEC PKD was not so big because it was a government college. Semester registration fees which will be around 3000 to 4000 Rupees and Exam registration fees. The college supports scholarship programs well as there has a section of staff to manage it.
Campus Life
The college conducts fests like Invento largest tech of the college at starting of any semester, freshers' party various clubs like a dancing, film-based, etc. All the classes were occupied by a projector. Nh13 is a dancing club in college those who are interested can join. The only problem with campus life is its location, which is in a rural area.
