Remarks
The eligibility is through Jee Mains or Wbjee Entrance Exam. All details are found on the college website as well as the Wbjee website. Application dates are around Nov-December every year and the exam is around March-April and admission is completed in August.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I like coding and therefore I chose CSE. Faculty: Student ratio is 1:60 which is pretty good. All faculty teachers are good at their job and are helpful. Exams are conducted twice in 1 semester which is around 6 months. It's not that difficult to pass if one study's regularly.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are available at the college during 3rd year and students are notified about them via email. Students have to prove themselves to gain an internship from the college otherwise off-off-campus internships are great.
Placement Experience
4th-year students become eligible for placements. Many good companies visit the campus and the average package is around 7 lakhs. Many good students bag offers from off-campus and because of this highest package went above 40 lakhs. I also want to secure an off-campus job.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is capped by the West Bengal Government and that's why the fee is not an issue in this college. The cost to study is around 4 lakh for the full course,i.e, 1 lakh/year approx. Various programs of government are also run if one wants to take a student loan.
Campus Life
Freshers' welcome is done in September every year. There are a lot of books in the library if one needs them. Moreover one has to never purchase books because semester books are given by the library itself. The classroom has fans, tables, chairs, a projector, etc. But ac is missing. Many extracurricular activities are there in college and many clubs are there.
