Remarks

In conclusion, my college has met my expectations. We do have long working hours and compulsory attendance but all that is essential for learning and discipline. All things considered our college is very good.

Entrance Preview

As it is a seperate university, we gave NMAT entrance exam which had a pattern similar to the international SAT tests.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is excellent. They have taught us various computers programming languages pertaining to the course like C++ , Java and PL/SQL. Also they have updated the portion according to current standards by introducing Dats Analytics and SAS into our curriculum as data science is in good demand.

Internships Opportunities

Yes the college provides internship via email. We have to create a unique email id. The placement committee then creates a database of all student data pertaining to that email id and shares it to all companies interested. The companies then send emails to the students they want for internship and a date for the interview is set.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements and job opportunities are decent from our colleges. I have heard that packages are fair and balanced. I have personally not sat for campus placements yet, but seniors say that it is a smooth process most of the time. Many companies like Infosys and other similar multinationals have arrived for placements.

College Events

5

There are many events in our college as students in our college are extra curricular focused. There are a number of students groups in our college like Student's Council, Computer Society of India, Forge, MunSociety, IEEE and many more smaller commitees. They host events like Taqneeq, Sattva, Cultural Night, Freshers Party and Technical Workshops.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees are very reasonable for a private college. The fee structure varies from 2-2.75 lac per year depending on the number of courses per year. Recently the fees were hiked because of the addition of SAS analytics learning. It was acceptable as we got a new laboratory and a SAS LASR server to operate on data over the whole year.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am not aware of any loan or scholarship facility. Any loans or scholarship maybe provided by an external entity like a bank or a benefactor.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is very good. There are no social barriers to communication. Ragging or bullying is never seen and won't be tolerated by authorities if it ever happens. As for diversity, our college is diverse as students from many parts of the country have come to attend our college. As for my class, almost 50% of it is girls. Thus I can vouch for gender diversity atleast in my department.

Hostel Facilities

4

I do not stay in a hostel as I am a locla resident. But I can say that the mess food is very appetizing. Our canteen is perhaps one of the best college canteens in the suburbs. It has a huge variety in terms of the menu and the food is well cooked and presented.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students which we have talked to are always engaged in some extracurricular activities. They are very friendly and helpful. They have helped us and given us a lot of study material to prepare for unit tests. We have not been contacted by the Alumni Association yet.

Exam Structure

The labs are very frequent and hectic as each subject has a lab and pertaining submissions for it for that week. But it is a necessary part of learning. Exam structure consists of two units tests and a final exam. Unit tests are bearable as the syllabus is limited and enough time for preparation is given. The final tests are stressful as there is only a one day gap between two tests and covering the entire syllabus of a subject in one day becomes a mammoth task.

Admission

We were called on a decided date and were called on timeslots according to the rank we obtained in the NMAT entrance exam. Then we were offere the stream of our choice if seats were left and proceeded to initial fee payment. In detail, we were called in the afternoon for my timeslot with all original identification certificates eg birth certificate and aadhar card etc. We were made to wait for others to finish the procedure and then we were processed, documents were verified and i got to pick the course of my choosing.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty of the college is very good in terms of teaching the source material. The faculty members are able to manage the time properly and solve doubts without any issues. But, they can be a bit stringent about assignment submission and late submission or mistakes are not tolerated and are instantly reflected on one's marks.

During my placement my engineering percentage is around 70 and I am able to attend every drive. Once student get placement offer from one company that student is not allowed to apply next company which package is near to previous company. Placement in Kit college in my year is 70 to 75%. Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
