Remarks
Engineering is a course with a very bright future. To apply for this course, one has to pass the joint entrance examination (WBJEE in my case). One has to apply for this online. This exam has special reservation benefits for SC, ST, OBC, PWD, etc. But the admission process is very hectic and long-term. It should be shortened.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is 4 years long. I chose the course because it has the most promising future in this tech world. In our college, there is a 1:60 faculty-student ratio. All the teachers are very well qualified from popular institutes in India. They teach well and takes test every month.
Internships Opportunities
The college is located in salt lake city sector V. It is the place in Kolkata where all the company offices are located. So it is easy to get an internship nearby. Usually, good internships with certificates and stipends are offered.
Placement Experience
Placements in my college in my course are very good. Almost 95% got placed where some goes for higher studies. Infosys, Cognizant, TCS, Alumnus, and Keyence India are some of the companies that come to our college every year. Last year the highest package was 34 LPA and the average package was 6 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The study fees are 484000 for the course. Students can get loans via students credit cards in West Bengal. One has to pay the fees in 8 installments every 6 months. In the course, job chances are very high. The average salary is more or less 6 LPA.
Campus Life
The College campus is moderate. The study environment is good but the sports environment is bad. There is an annual fest in the college which is very very enjoyable usually conducted in the month of May. Apart from that, study books are provided by the library. There is a social group called SAMARITANS which is the largest social club in East India.
