Remarks

According to me, BHU is the best for UPSC or other job aspirants because the hostel fees are too less than another central universities except for JNU. The hostel rooms are quite good for self-study, with no unwanted disturbance. The good thing is that the mess facilities are attached to all hostels with nominally meal charges. After 2022, the admission process is via the CUET entrance exam in both UG and PG courses. And the application form is usually released in April-May. All application processes are online, one can apply via the online site or CUET website. There are more than 10+ YouTube channels where one can be guided to fill up the application form. The application fees are all decided by CUET. It may be near about 200 according to 2022. And one can avail of all types of reservation benefits. For the admission process, after the results are out. BHU conducts online or offline counselling processes where the documents are verified. Then start your BHU journey. Work hard.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I've chosen it because of library facilities are good. There is the central library as well as a cyber library. The libraries are quite a pin-drop silence. In master courses, the intake is about 100 for each course. The faculty members are helpful for any kind of help. All faculty members are qualified NET GRF examination & their teaching processes are too good for me. All classrooms have computer projector facilities. In a year, exams are conducted in two semesters. The passing mark is 33%. Follow the past year's questions papers and listen carefully to the lectures etc.

Internships Opportunities

4

Till now, I didn't participate in any kind of internship. I've applied for a LIC internship. BHU posts its internship every month. There are all paid internships. At university, I've heard about internal conducting internships for BHU students.

Placement Experience

4

For placement, one can apply during the last year. Companies like Amazon, Byjus, local PSU banks, etc. Last year, 8 lakhs CTC the highest package in our department was offered. The placement percentage is 50%. I'm preparing for the IES examination.

Fees and Financial Aid

I'm agreed about the fee hike. The government has hiked all fees about to 75%. The students who are belonging from poor financial conditions, they got shocked. In scholarship, students can apply for NSP scholarships. For SC ST students, BHU provides a stipend for research courses.

Campus Life

4

BHU conditions an annual fest every year. Apart from that, most of the hostels also conduct. In the library, most of the books are available but for journals, you have to buy them from a roadside shop near Lanka. The classrooms are 150+ capacity. The lectures theatre is 300+ capacity. Every year, annual sports are conducted. As well as inter hostel sports meet are also being conducted. I didn't know about another course social group but in our economics department, a social named Eco door is currently in active process.

Hostel Facilities

4

In the hostel room, there is a two-person capacity. University provides a tube light lamp and fan. The messes are all attached to all hostels. So there are no problems with meals. Food quality is well. The rate of veg food is ?50/- & for nonveg ?80/- with unlimited food. BHU provides a hostel to 50% of students via entrance results. If anyone is unable to get a hostel, for those there are many rental rooms as well as PG. The locations are near BHU main gate, Hyderabad Gate, Chituupur gate, Seat Govardhan Gate.

Placement Experience:

The placement here at Sharda was too good. Students start attending the Placement interviews and calls from the last semester. I was personally made into 4 companies and 4 offer letters were offered to me. The average package is 3.8 lakhs per annum and highest was about 11 lakhs. There is 100% placement in every dept. but it depends on students if they want to attend or not. After getting the degree i studied for my PhD entrace and now i am working.

The only specific aspect of choosing this curriculum is I wanna go in a teaching position . I'm doing masters in sociology and it's really help me to prepare well for my future job. In my college the teaching methods is quie good for me and in my perspective the frequency and difficulty levels of exam is not excessive.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since I wanted to become an English Professor, the course really helped me a lot in getting an insight into English Literature. The professors are very encouraging. The curriculum not only relies on the traditional method of teaching but also various co curricular activities are conducted to prepare the students for the real world. Each student is given an opportunity to prove herself. As the exams are conducted annually we get a lot of time to prepare accordingly.

Overall, I can say that my experience of the college for postgraduate degree is good as of now. Although the course is good, but, I would want more focus to be put on practical learning because after all, it is a practical subject. Other than that, I am content with the facilities provided by the college. I was very interested in the subject and love it personally, so it is a great experience for me.
