I choose Electrical engineering because it is a crucial branch, so most of the software companies are open for this branch.The student ratio in the branch is 10 : 3 ( boys to girls ). Ism has the best Faculties very well qualified. Every faculty member has done a lot of research in their field of interest and they even share it in class. The teaching method is also superb. All the ppts and notes are provided by the professor. 75 percent attendance rule seems hectic but is bearable. There are 2 exams in each semester. Mid-semester and End semester. Mid-semester is of 2 hours and end semester is of 3 hours. It is easy to pass the exams. 1 week for Mid sem and 2 weeks for the end sem is even more than enough to get around 9 cgpa which is considered way too good.

In the fifth semester companies come to offer internships around 500 students out of 1100 get internships and several of them get PPO. Mostly PPO offer is more than 30lpa. Placement occurs in 7 semesters and in just 2 days around 800 students get placed including PPO. Google, Microsoft, Goldman Sach, Amazon, Atlassian, uber , zepto , Sprinklr, newzera , tech Japan, Walmart, hotstar and several others companies visit. Around 200 companies visit campus for placement.

Total fees for the 4 years are around 10 lakhs which include tuition fees, a hostel ( excluding mess fees ), and medical insurance for the students. College provides a lot of scholarships which include MCM and several related to environmental branches. Moreover, a fee waiver is also provided. Job opportunities are best. The average package is around 19 LPA. So it means you will have nearly twice the money you invest in the 1st year. Nearly 1000 students get placed on day 0 and day 1. And around 200 students get PPO and all the PPOs are above 30 LPA. Around 500 students get internships from the college. Mostly everyone gets placed except for those who opt for further studies.

Ism has a total of 3 fests total. 1 technical fest concetto conducted in October. 1 cultural fest srijan held in February. 1 sports fest spardha held in March. Apart from these 3, 2 more fests also occur, Khanan annual geo mining fest held in September. And Basant, reunion fest held in February. We have the biggest library in Asia. All the books and journals are available. We have 2 sports grounds upper and lower with all sports facilities. We have several societies both technical and cultural like cyber labs, roboism , Arka, litc , wtc , adc etc.

Rooms are not good . Especially for boys the hostel are old . Tables are not provided and 2 students are accommodated in 1 room . All the bathrooms are Indian style . But a new hostel is in progress to launch . The biggest hostel . Girls hostel is too good as compared to boys and has really good facilities. No cost for hostel and mess fess is around 15k . Non veg is even provided in the mess . Food is edible .

The admission process is through jee advanced examination. In order to qualify for jee advanced, you need to clear jee mains first. The cut for jee mains for the general category is around the 90 percentile (depending on the number of applicants ). The application form is released by NTA. Reservations are provided for OBC, SC, ST, and even economically weaker sections. I think a single jee mains paper would be better as compared to several shifts as exam happens now because whatever the exams are not of same level.
