No one is perfect. This institute is good for students who want to be engineers with a degree at the end of four years. People can also get a little exposure. But for those who want more of a happening college life this might not satisfy you. Faculties some of them are a little too strict plus the whole administration gets together and acts. Causing troubles here might hamper your studies and others as well. But its not in any way a jail. You can have fun in the campus just dont cross the line.

I was alloted silicon west based on my odisha jee performance which wasnt that great. I opted fr the ECE branch while my overall rank wass around 15000.

Course when i joined was theoritical and had labs too. BPUT then decided to upgrade its way of education and more emphasis is now given on practical knowledge. Theory part is quite the same even today. Labs have been involved more and also the digital labs present. Labs are equipped and well mamaged.

If a student can present solid proof of his or her internship with the time of rejoining in the institute under university norms can seek permission. Specifis details as to to how to get it will be told to you when you talk to the information cell present.

Engineering today like other sectors is going through a rough patch still Silicon's placement cell provides you with whatever assistance they can. And most importantly in todays world numbers misguide people. A degree with good grades is worth more than jib placement in a call center.silicon will help you get grades and jobs to but if 100 percent placement is what you seek .. then god help !

Despite the annual college fest and other curricular activities you can celebrate ganesh puja and all. More activities should be done. But students lack of interest also leads to this. There is Sports club robotics club and also scholars club. Plus student council keeps organising something or other. For hostelites we have Campus Co-ordination committee to orgqnise events.

For engineering it is. You cant find many institues with the kind of library and net lab which is provided here , also gym seperate for both boys and girls. University charges extra for exam fees and mess charges are ariund 2500 to 3000. It is one of the best economical institutes here in odisha bihar and jharkhand area.

Scholars club students get a wavier. This is given to the branch toppers. And overall year topper is also given scholarships. P.S. i am not aware of all the scholarships.

On a scale of five- 1)Infra- 5 2)Academics-4 3) Co curricular activities- 2.5 4) Faculties- 3.5 5) workshops- twice in a sem around 5 in a year 6) Robitics club is present and is good for beginers and basic knowledge. 7) No ragging absolute zero tolerance policy for ragging or misbehaving with girls in the campis or out of it.

On a sacle of 5 : Mess food 3 stars. Hostel 4 stars No wifi in campus. Hostel room are large comparatively. 3 students share a room. Water supply and electricirty also good. Cafeteria facilitates you with options and is good at service. Canteen amd cafeteria operate separately.

It is composite of both a little hectic and chilled out. They dont kill you with pressure but they will make it hard for you if you dont study. Yes it helps you, being an engineer i can tell you: no action takes place until pressure or work is applied.

I had in 2013 given the odisha jee which gave mw my socrecard in the exam. According to the iptions i had filled my rank was assessed and thus this was alloted. After councelling we were given a date to enroll for seats alloted . I enrolled after a few days. You can visit the institute and can also talk to the admission incharge. After allotment direct admission is possible.

Faculties here very dedicated towards regularity in classes and performance. Students who behave and are in the good looks and willingly study will have no problem here. They will help and try thier best to clear your doubts. But as understanding and helpful they are in academics so strict is their behaviour in other than studies activities.
