Course Curriculum Overview
XIMB 's MBA program is among the top 20 in the country and there is a very strong alumni network in the college. Faculty to studio ratio is about 1:12. The faculty are highly qualified with most of them having Ph.D. degrees along with several years of corporate experience. Term exams are very timely and efficiently conducted.
Internships Opportunities
91 companies extended offers to the students. 100% placements were recorded for the batch. The average package was 2.16 lakhs for 2 months. Roles offered were 21% Consulting, 20% Manufacturing, 12% FMCG, 21% IT/ITES, 16% BFSI, and 10% Others.
Placement Experience
From Term 4, students become eligible for campus placements, and companies start visiting the campus. 71 companies extended offers to the students on campus. the highest domestic package was 71.51 LPA and the average package is 20.03 LPA. 100% of students were placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total cost of the study is about 22 lakhs for two years including hostel fees of 40000 per year for a double room and 51000 per year for a single room. No scholarship is provided as such. All students get summer internships as well as final placements.
Campus Life
Life at the campus is very lively, The annual fest is named Xpressions, and this year, the campus celebrated the 25th year of the fest. Xpressions were conducted in mid-January. The library is very well stocked with various business books as well as research articles from various faculties. There is a Bloomberg lab in the library as well. There is a dedicated committee for Sports as well as all interest areas like cultural events, photography, etc. conduct regular events for engaging the students.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel room is well-lighted and aerated, with a tiled floor, a bed, a table, a chair, and a wardrobe. Meal quality is average, however, the menu is well-planned. A registration charge of 12000 rs. is taken for a hostel. The process occurs during admission itself.
Admission
Eligibility of the course is Graduation with 55%+ CAT/XAT/GMAT. The application form can be found on the official website. Application forms are floated once before CAT as well as after XAT. 50% of seats are reserved for Odia domicile
Interview Experience
In 2021, no GD was conducted. PI was conducted online. For PI, the questions were mainly based on why you want to join MBA, basic aptitude questions, some general awareness questions, some current affairs as well as some technical questions based on my undergraduate course. I prepared for these rounds by regularly going through the newspaper and giving mock interviews to my friends.
