Course Curriculum Overview

In mechanical engineering there is about 70 students in a class. Some of the lecturers are not permanent. There are some guest lecturer. Some of the lecturers teaching quality is good and some are average. There are two series exam it is held in monthly. Some of the subjects is difficult.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 9850 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

35 percent of students were placed. The highest package offered in my course was 16 LPA. The lowest package offered was 4 LPA. The average package offered was 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Byjus, Walkaroo etc. About 25% students received internship from companies like TCS, Infosys etc. Top roles offered include Senior Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Engineering Trainee etc. 9850 it is yearly based fees structure. There are several scholarship from central government and state government like egrantz, mcm etc...

Campus Life

There are 2 or 3 programs goes on college in monthly. There is library in college but number of is less sometimes students don't get books. Facilities like projector are in every class rooms. There are only some of sports activities on the campus. There are social group and clubs like fashion club are presented in college.

Admission

Eligibility for this course in this college is KEAM entrance exam. Fees is paid on online. Every details (reservation benefits, admission process, etc...) is know through there sites. Admission is given to rank based.

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?
