Things I liked about my college is low fees

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose the course BTech Artificial Intelligence because I was very clear from the beginning that I have to do engineering. And about the faculties, they all have a phd degree and many of them also have master's degrees.

Placement Experience

In our college eligibility for placement starts at the end of the sixth semester. There are many companies that come in our college like tcs wipro cognizant infosys accenture capgemini oracle and many more startups

Fees and Financial Aid

When I took admission it was the year 2022 and in that year my whole course fee was 550000 and every year it gets increased by 60000 normally. I didn't got any scholarship as I do not belong to the state west Bengal

Campus Life

There are many fests happening in our college like edge fest and many more. And books are easily available in the library with the use of our id card. And about sports cricket and football is so common.

Admission

In the year 2022, I gave an exam named WBJEE which is an all-India exam in which I got a 7000 rank and took admitted to Techno Main Salt Lake through wbjee counselling. The eligibility criteria are passed 10 and 12th. I didn't get any reservations because I am an outside student.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
