- The main thing would be the walking distance between campus and hostels specially boys hostel . There are many free travel services for students to travel but still most of the time we have to walk fifteen minutes from hostel to campus
Course Curriculum Overview
There were two reasons why I chose this course (BTech Computer Science and Engineering) first was that I had an interest in programming and second bcs of the high placements in this course. The faculty members are quite nice in teaching. There are approx 105 students in one class for the first year and second-year classes are further divided into 70-75 students per class. Most teachers have completed their Ph.D. but extra courses teachers are mostly research scholars who are in the middle of completing their Ph.D. The term exams were very timely even when our sem started late we ended the semester on perfect time and the exams were quite difficult.
Internships Opportunities
The companies that come for internship are Amazon, Flipkart, Wipro, TCS, Walmart, HDFC, SBI, mankind, and many others companies. There are many many opportunities for students but in the end, it all depends on the skill set of the students.
Placement Experience
The placements of our college is good. Companies like Amazon and Flipkart also come for placements. Average package for CSE students is 5.5-6 lakhs and the highest package last year was 44 lakh per annum by Amazon. Students having above 7.5 CGPA are eligible for all companies placement, the rest are checked on the skills of the student.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is quite nice even for a general category without any scholarship and fee concession the whole degree fee is around 5.5 - 6 lakh. Odd semester fees are around 72K and even semester fees are around 55K. There are scholarships and concessions for category students and more offers.
Campus Life
The college at GNDU is very nice, the campus is very big and it is not even an understatement to call it huge, there are many sports facilities we even have archery and cycling tracks at our university. The libraries are also very big we have a computer lab, reading room, and many other facilities with almost all study-related books one would need in our library. The fests are also quite good specially the annual jashan which is a big opportunity for students to showcase their talents.
Admission
For admission it is compulsory to have at least 75% in boards as it is for many other government colleges and jee cutoff for same-state general students was 85 percentile this year and for other states, it was around 72 percentile. We can find the application form and other documents on the gndu website. The admission process was very smooth sailing and no delay was made in the timings that were mentioned.
Other Applied Colleges
