Course Curriculum Overview
Institute of Home Economics has an excellent faculty members. I opted for this course at it has many various lines after completing bachelors degree. For example- Development of Communication and Extension, Human Development, Resource Management and Design Application, Nutrition and dietics and Fashion technology. Teachers are highly qualified at IHE DU. They teach very well, provide all the resource materials to students. We have semester examination and if we study well it is easy to clear the exams.
Internships Opportunities
Not much sure about the companies but, there are various companies that come to the university and provide job opportunities for UG and PG students. DU has a very big placement cell. The average salary for a beginner is 5-7 lacs per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are several scholarships and Financial assistances provided by DU. There is a placement cell at DU which help students to get good jobs. There are many companies that come to colleges and provide job opportunities to undergraduate students
Campus Life
IHE has its Annual fest called FERIA. It is held mostly in the month of February or March every year. IHE has a very good library with more than 1000 of books, reference materials available. IHE classrooms are huge, having a black board and chairs and tables. IHE has many different societies like Eleganza- Dance Society, Voice, Poises- Fashion Society, NSS, Eminence- Placement cell, etc. IHE has a a basketball ground, badminton court, etc
Admission
The course eligibility at the time of my admission process was 10+2 with minimum 60% and then there were cut offs. The Application form is available at the Delhi University website it self. The admission process is very smooth. Now, For admission students are required to appear for CUET examination.
