Course Curriculum Overview
ECE is a very great course in the engineering field. As the stream is good for both core and non-core fields. The faculty is nice and helpful. Every student can contact the professors personally for any doubts. All the professors are Ph.D. in their respective fields. The term exams are held once per 5-6 months and the mid sems are held in between the sems.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are not that great on campus. Students have to reach out off-campus for internships and very few are able to get internships. Although everyone does projects and all for the placements.
Placement Experience
The placements are nice. Companies visit after 5-6th sem. TCS, Wipro, cognizant, Capgemini, Infosys, EY, and several others visit the campus. Most of the students are placed with a good placement percentage of 80. The average package is 600000inr. The highest package is around 12-15lpa.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is roughly 45000 per semester and it increases from 44000 in the first sem to 47300 in the last sem. There are no scholarships provided but yes one can opt for TFW via the WB govt. to get their fees waived.
Campus Life
There is Daksh the technical fest, Eclecia the cultural fest, the Nascent fest for freshers. All the sem books are provided by the library. Classrooms are well equipped with projectors for laptop presentations. Basketball, swimming, cricket, football, and other sports are held between streams and colleges. Clubs are there in college like science, robotics and all.
Admission
Wbjee is basically an entrance exam that is conducted by the West Bengal government. Colleges are being allotted on the basis of your rank. So if you need to take admission inside west Bengal, you have to fill out a form named wbjee which is coming in the month of February. Exams are conducted in the month of April. After the results are published where you get to know which colleges you are being eligible for. So I have got an admission to the Heritage Institute of Technology in the year 2021. So my rank was about 4000. Being an outsider it's much needed that you should score good marks in wbjee to get into your dream college. The fee is about 400000 for 4 years of course. There is no such reservation for this college. Improvement should be there as there is only two round for counseling, one more round should be added so that students get more benefited. The ambiance is really very nice. The entire process of admission is smooth.
