Remarks
There not much to tell about the goods and bads of the colleage. Only thing is that the campus is small campus but a peaceful atmoshpere outside the building.
Entrance Preview
Kerala entrance exam.My score was very less so I didnt get any merit seats for engineering. As a last reort I got admission here in management quota. I had no other way other than join here. I
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum was good. If students are willing to give their heart for learning I guess they can become good engineers. 1st year cueicullam was common to all the batches which gives a broef idea of all the branches. From 2nd year onwards only we jump into the core field starting from the basics.
Internships Opportunities
No there is no internship provided by the colleage.we also had to complete an internship during our engineering which was mandatory. So we had to find ourself and get approval from the colleage.
Placement Experience
Talking about the placement for.my final year the placed percentage was less compared to other years only few companies came as oncapuse. Rest were off campus drives. Many were not plqced in our batch but latere were placed through off campus drives. Even though we completed te colleage we still recived updates from the placement cell providing the details of csmpus drives that are taking place .
College Events
After me joining to colleage ie from 2011. We had conducted our inter colleage arts and tech fest almost every year. Even ieee events where organised in the colleage. Events common to each branches were there such a way that they wont over lap each other. Excluding all this we had a colleag arts fest which is a 2 day event. But many restrictions were set by the facuties for all the events.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Talkin abouth the fee structure since i joined through manaagement quota i had to pay 90k per year which was very high if we compare with those with the merit people. And also every semester we had to pay some due amount whichI am note sure why I paid even now also. There is nothing much to tell about the fee structure other than this.
Fees and Financial Aid
No scholarships were availed by me during the colleage time. But the colleage did provide scholarship to bright student who have dificulties in paying their fees. Not every one but a fews recivees this offer.
Campus Life
Ths life in asiet was actually awsome. Even today i am feeling like i want to go back to colleage. We had many events in our colleage like arts day sports day. Eventhough we wont come to these events during the 1st 2 years but have to come during the next 2 since we are hosting the eventn and feeling and because these are the last few days we csn be with our friends in our colleage. we could learn alot studying in adi shankara.
Hostel Facilities
I was a day scholar. So i have not much experince with the hostel life l. But i have been to the colleage and stayed for 1 or 2 days.based on that hostel is jot that bad . All the facilities are there including badminton court and tt table.Mainly 3 persons are accomadsted in one room. I guess the room is good for 2 but 3 people are accomadated. they have a common bathroom.
Alumni/Alumna
Never been to an alumini till now. I guess the colleage had conducted onky one alumini after my passout which i couldnt attend. Overall the experince in adi shankara was nice.
Exam Structure
The main think in exam structure is that we have exams every week. one way or the other we have we write exams. It include the module tests for each moduke we learn to series test which was there twice in a semester to the semester exam at the end of each semester.
Admission
The management had put up a ranklist for management quota based on the mark secured for physics maths and chemistry. And one day the asked us to come to colleage to meet the principle and the director. I dont think it was an interview , just casual talking and payed the fees after that not on the same day but some other day.
Faculty
Talking about the faculty , most of the faculty that taught us had completed phD on their respective fields. They try their best to complete the curriculm in time before the semester exam which they does by just brushing over the topics not going in details. It didnt matter for us as we used to learn or atart going through the topics only 1 week before the exams.
