Course Curriculum Overview

The CSE Department is the most popular department here. This year highest package gone for 44 LPA. Teacher are also good enough and all of them have Ph.D. degrees. There are four exam in a semester , 1. Seasonal 1 (25 Marks ), Mid term (40 Marks) , Seasonal 2 (25 Marks ) , End term (60 Marks)

Placement Experience

From 3 years you can apply for placement. The highest package for this year is 44 LPA, and the average is around 10 LPA. Nearly 25-30 companies visited this year. The percentage of placement is around 60 percent. Although the percentage is low if you have a talent you can apply for off-campus. I would like to have a placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

Here per semester free around 27000 for the general and obc categories, if you belong to SC or ST category you have to give 600 rs less. And if you stay in a hostel you have to pay around 2500 per month, which varies from hostel to hostel but the maximum is 2500 per month. Colleges have Training and placement shells that help you to gat scholarships and placement.

Campus Life

Techxetra is the technical fest of this university. Library is so good here. You get both physical and online modules here. Every classroom is fitted with a projector. University has its own football ground, volleyball court, table tennis court, swimming pool, and others. Different groups like National service scheme and NCC are available here and you must any one of them in 1st and 2nd year.

Admission

I had taken admission through JEE MAINS, The list of branches available here through JEE MAINS, B.Tech are Computer Science And Engineering, Electronic And Communication Engineering , Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Food Engineering, And Technology. For taking admission in CSE here for the general category you need around 94-95 percentile in JEE MAINS. The campus is so beautiful, facilities are also very good here.

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIT Guwahati are excellent especially in the tech field ,with high placement rates and strong average packages generally Rs 30 lakh per annum. Top companies regularly visit the campus. After completing the course if i do not get placed on campus which is hardly possible i'll look for other off campus placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Most of the professors are good here.The college covers the core subjects required for strong foundation in engineering. However the theoretical coverage is good the scope for practical exposure is still required.

Placement Experience:

The placement is quite good in my college. In 7 th semester the placements start and the package goes from 16lpa to 2 cr . About 75 percent student who applied got placed . I want to work in a software firm.

Students normally appear for placements in fourth year with two placement seasons namely from december to january and february to march. Companies include quant companies and tech giants like JPMC, Reliance Industries, WellsFargo,Piramal, Standard Chartered,Texas Instrumentation, walmart, Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte,Oracle, HCL, Barclays, Tata steel, uber, legato, Mastercard, Nutanix, BPCL, BEL,PWC, Socgen, etc. Almost 80% students get placed every year with the average package ?1,60,000. The highest package was 1.68 crore per annum from the branch of Computer Science.

ASSAM UNIVERSITY SILCHAR , THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY

Placement Experience:

only fourth year students are eligible for campus placements . the detalis of the visiting compaies are not thte sure but at least 10 stuents are placed each year from every single batch. the higest so far was 20 lpa and it was in amazon , the student who cracked that placement applied it off campus . on campus placement was not more than 10 lpa so far . the percentage of students getting placemnets are less than 50% not because of quality of placement but majority stuents opt for higher studies or goverment jobs rather than direct placement . my paln is to also pursue higher education

Placement Experience:

After the 6th sem placement season starts. The intern season takes place at the end of the 4th sem. The placement of the college is extremely good. The average package of the college is around 21 lakhs. That of CSE is 41 lakhs. Mncs is 35 lakhs etc. Projected package of my branch DSAI is 40 lakhs.

A brief description about Tezpur University

As I had applied in Dibrugarh university also for the same course and I got there but I choosed Tezpur university rather than Dibrugarh university as because the reputation of both the universities are best in there own but TU is a central university and DU is a state university, so there will be much more opportunities and advancement in a central university then a state university and all the family members and others suggested me to take admission here...as Tezpur university is more famous and known by everyone then dibrugarh university. To take admission here and get enrolled in my course (MCA), we have to give an entrance exam which is called "TUEE" by qualifying this exam one can get admission here from any background in bachelor as because there are two MCA courses available here, one is breached and other is non-breached. Breached course is for people with other background in bachelors which is for 3years and Non-breached courses is for people with background in computer science in bachelors which is for 2years. The cutoff changes every year according. One can also get enrolled here in other courses and departments by qualifying exams like CUET, JEE, CAT, MAT etc... Admission process is easy as you get admission on the basis of jee mains result.
