Remarks

Overall, the college is good with major focus on academics & is trying its best to create good citizens for this country. The college management is ready to incorporate beneficial changes for the betterment of students

Entrance Preview

I appeared for the MHT-CET in 2012 and scored 140/200.This college is well known for its discipline and school type administration but good placements is one of its distinguished feature since past few years

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Being affiliated to the Pune University, there is not much scope for designing the curriculum at institute level but the defined syllabus is taught sincerely. Research based curriculum isn't its forte but the college supports patent filing at student level on a good scale.Electives are available in the 4th year according to the university guidelines

Internships Opportunities

College doesnot provide internship, one has to find an internship at his personal level.Owing to the university timetable, only one month internship may be possible during the summer or the winter vacations

Placement Experience

4

Placements were good for my batch with companies such as MuSigma, Mercedes Benz, Volkswagen, Behr Mahle, KPIT ,3DPLM, Godrej, SKF bearings, Force motors and many tier 1 & 2 suppliers of the automobile hub hiring the students. MuSigma offered a package of 21 Lacs for 3 years & Mercedes gave 5.5 lacs.Rest all the companies offered a package of 3.3 lacs on an average.Close to 50% of the eligible students were placed.

College Events

2.5

SPECTRUM is a first year specific technical festival organized at state level in the campus. It is followed by another technical fest for 2nd-4th year students. These fests take place in the months of January or February.Annual gathering which includes cultural events also occurs during this period.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is moderate compared to other colleges. My fee was 88k for each year and the university exam fees were separate for every semester. For people belonging to SC/ST/NT category, fee was 10% of the gen category fee i.e around Rs 8800.The OBC students had to pay around 45 k

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are awarded to students belonging to SC/ST/NT category on a yearly basis. They get 35k per year as scholarship fund. Students under economically backward class can also avail reduction in fees by almost 90%

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life is OK.There are few cultural clubs taking part in dramatics at state level & doing good.Students interested in BAJA & SAE SUPRA competitions did wonders to the college by winning many accolades in recent years. Thus the college now is giving sufficient funds for further improvement in extracurricular activities including robotics and building solar operated racing vehicle.Gender ratio might be around 35-45 girls among every 100 students.Students are mostly from Maharashtra whereas 10% may be from outside Maharashtra

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel facilities were Ok with the quality of food served being avarage but much better than other colleges. Rooms are allotted on double sharing basis. All first year outstation students are given rooms in the first year and students have to find their own rooms second year onwards. Only few meritorious students from 2nd year onwards can stay in the hostel depending on the no. of reserved rooms kept for them. There is a lot scope for improvement in Hostel amenities !

Alumni/Alumna

Many of the senior students have started their own start ups or have continued their family business.Their is a significant portion of students who are preparing for MPSC exam.Around 10% of the alumni have done MS and are working in reputed companies like Audi, Bosch in Germany

Exam Structure

College hours comprised of 4 lectures(one hour each) + 1 lab(2 hours) five days a week.75 % attendance was compulsory in all of these.Exams were conducted after every 45 days but the schedule wasn't much hectic except during the end semester submissions

Admission

Admission is granted by the usual centralized admission procedure of Maharashtra. One receives the admission forms in this college or at any other authorized college and then he/she has to follow the online admission process.Once you are allotted this college, further admission procedure is carried out in a very systematic way but one may have to face long ques sometimes

Faculty

3

The faculty is well qualified and some of the faculty is outstanding in delivering the course content & imparting necessary life skills too whereas other teachers teach sincerely but may not be up to the mark ! Labs are conducted on a regular basis and few labs have been developed and sponsored by the industry leaders-Metallurgy lab has been developed by Baker's gauges

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
