Teacher are very friendly and supportive
Fee is not so big.A average middle class students can afford it

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is not so good. Only IT companies comes and student who has done good performance in coding and computer science then those students gets placed through oncampus .this is darker side of wb colleges.exam are taken half yearly as semester.teacher are moderate .

Fee structure is normal . For b tech it is about 3.9 laks.which is not so big.amount.you can get scholarship when you are wb student.campus job is about 90% .a lots of companies come like TCS,WIPRO,ORACLE etc

Campus Life is moderate , this college has not so big campus but it's ok . Various clubs are available in our college for social welfare,sports , environment etc.inter departmemtal sports happens for each and every year

I am anup kumar .i am from Bihar .i am pursuing my b tech from heritage institute of technology kolkata.i took admission by clearing the WBJEE entrance examination.cutoff was approx 30. Addmission process is very easy .

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

THERE ARE FAR BETTER OPTIONS

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
