Management is fair enough and all our needs are accepted even if in some cases we have to call strike for it

CUSAT-CAT, score was not published , rank was 2162, I opted this because it was one of the best after considering IITs and NITs.

The course and curriculum is proper and we'll updated in 2015 scheme. Exams are conducted in proper time and results are also published on time. Labs are proper and are well equipped and there are well trained assistants . Lab exams are taken very seriously.

Not officially, but they share with us the details of various internship options available and also they make sure we have atleast 30 days of internship experience before ending 7th semester.

Placement number is huge.Every year we have 75-80% of students getting placed, but if we assessed placements in the base of package it's pretty much below the average expectations.Mass recruitments are given by companies like TCS . Although Amazon and Adobe visit us for placements with high package the number of intakes are below 5.

We have a tech fest huge and filled with enthusiastic crowd.Its a 3day festival with 2 cultural nights included with it. We have a 3 day long college cultural fest which is highly competitive and enthusiastic.Then we have a 5 day university cultural fest which is even more competitive and more enthusiastic. The vibe created is unexplainable, but also no pro shows are allowed.

Fee structure is basically divided.Apart from those in the reservation category the fees structure of students from Kerala(state merit) are low around less than 25k per semester, for all other states(national merit) is around 85k per semester and the NRI quota goes beyond that. For reservation category it goes down to around just 250 per semester .

Not as in by the CUSAT, but is linked with many organisations and governmental schemes. As it is a government college all schemes pertaining to it is propely ensured that it is allotted to the deserving students.

Gender ratio is pretty fair although not 50-50 but still fair number of girls do exist except in mechanical and also safety and fire branches. Cultural events are enthusiastic and students are highly participantive.No such discriminatory issues.Also there is a good population of around more than 30% of North Indians here.

Hostel facility is one among the cheepest thing here in CUSAT. They cost around just 495 as monthly rent and a mess that runs purely on no profit basis by student committee itself. Boys hostels have both south Indian and north Indian mess but alas girls only have south Indian mess. Hostels are pretty clean and lavish in terms of space they provide.We have 2 sharing and 3 sharing and also dormatries. For reservation category stay and mess is absolutely free.

Alumni network is very strong.Official active groups and a proper collaboration in terms of placements n internships with them.They have regular meetups and annual get together.

Exam structure is pretty organized.Two internals per semester along with the main university exams makes the semester pretty occupied. but apart from those days of exams everything is chilled out apart from the assignment submissions and seminars.Marks obtained are non negotiable even regarding internals.

The counselling was based purely on ranks u received and nothing pertaining to the school scores. Firstly we had to give a list of branches we are interested in .(in the priority order). on the councelling day they allot the left seats as per the priority order, later if vacancies are created we could upgrade.

They are all well qualified, dedicated and little flaws as they exist everywhere. They are experienced and have professional touch in their teaching.Lab assistants are also well trained and experienced.Even we get the assistance of PHD scholars.We have good faculties for project guidance and they are supportive enough.
