Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course because I like it and also the college is the number one government Engineering College in Assam. The faculty is also very good. They have good teaching skills. The faculty students ratio is 1:16. Which is very good. The semester exam question paper is prepared by Assam science and Technology University. It is not so hard to pass.
Internships Opportunities
The internship opportunity is very good. In the first year, it provides a social internship. In the second year, you have to do an academic internship as well and in the 3 Rd year, you have to do an industrial internship as well as industrial visits to different companies.
Placement Experience
The students are generally eligible for campus placement from the 7th semester. Very companies like ONGC, nrl, Balco, etc. visit our college and they recruit a large number of students. The average package is almost 10lpa, and the highest is almost 24lpa. Every year almost 80% of students get placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
The annual fee structure is around 15000 excluding hostel fees. There are one-time hostel admission fees which are around 10000. The semester exam fee is around 1500. You will also be able to take scholarships like Ishan Uday, NEC, etc. Further, the college provides campus placement in large companies like ONGC, NRL, etc.
Campus Life
The campus life is very good. Pyrokinesis the annual fest is organized every year. Artists from different states and different countries come here and perform. Generally, in February month, it is conducted. The classroom facilities are very good. And it also provides sports and extracurricular activities.
Hostel Facilities
There are 9 hostels in AEC, 8 boys and 1 girls hostel. Hostels provide good facilities in rooms as well as in food. Hostels provide 3 times food which is satisfactory. My hostel is situated almost 100 m away from college.
Admission
For admission into this college, you have to crack the Assam CEE exam for students residing in Assam. For outsiders, JEE is considered an entrance exam. Application fees for CEE is around 1000. Admission fees in 1st year Assam Engineering College are around 15k and a hostel is also provided.
