Remarks

College management should be more linient towards students who organize inter college events in terms o attendance. Because such events needs a lot of efforts which go unrecognised by college authorities. Also fees should be minimised.

Entrance Preview

Mht-cet entrance exam marks were considered. I took computer branch because maximum placement from all branches eventually happen in IT companies only.130 was the cutoff for computer branch in open category.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Course was good but should be more practical oriented with latest technology in line with industry trends. Students should get more exposed to coding practice and not just copy code from the internet. Practicals should be made more interesting. More focus should be given on logic development with the help of practical assignments. Electives in final year were cloud computing, software architecture, etc which were relevant with industry standards.

Internships Opportunities

No. Internship was not provided. In fact college should have tie ups with mnc companies and startups so that students get an internship and gauge how the things work in real life projects. Internship was suggested by faculty by we had to search for one on our own which is quite a task.

College Events

3

Fees are on a higher side since the institute is run by a private trust. Annual fees are above 1 lakh and thus costing complete course of 4 years at approx 4 lakh ₹. Category students do get fee waivers upto 50% based on caste. Fees are not that feasible but students adjust this things only in hope of good placements.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees are on a higher side since the institute is run by a private trust. Annual fees are above 1 lakh and thus costing complete course of 4 years at approx 4 lakh ₹. Category students do get fee waivers upto 50% based on caste. Fees are not that feasible but students adjust this things only in hope of good placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loan facility is not available as such, everyone has to manage their own funds. The scholarship part, yes there are some of those but students are very less aware of those. Management should circulate notice for the same. Other than that fee waivers for students coming under reserved category are available in proper fashion.

Campus Life

3.5

Gender ratio is quite good and there is complete equality I would say.Girls do feel safe during day time and was little of a worry during night time considering the adjoining areas to the college. People from varied background come in college and gel up quite well without any discrimination. Students are tolerant and adjusting with regards to cast, religion and political differences or scenes.Parties are a rare scene except the fresher party. There should a culture of an organised fresher party which is lacking currently. Also the same for the farewell party. Cultural activities do take place and a group for the same is present and anyone can be a part of it. Campus life could be more better with improved infrastructure like hangout places in campus where students can catch up and plan out cultural/informational activities. Overall an average to good experience.

Hostel Facilities

2

Hostel and mess was not part of my life since I was a localite. Since most of my friends lived alone they would tell about the poor quality of hostel. Hostel seats are very limited and facilities are below standard forcing the guys to move out in rented flats or pg's. Hostel mess and rooms are very below average.Pg would cost around 4-5 k per month including food for week days along with wifi.Rented flats would cost 3- 3.5 k per head only for accommodation, electricity, wifi etc. Food would add up extra.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni are okay, I mean we did not get any specific help regarding life after college and placement activities or technologies to learn or so. More interaction with students should be arranged.

Exam Structure

It was pretty much chilled and manageable. Practicals and assignments would get completed by copying each others copies which led to a knowledge gap and thus would affect practical implementation in labs. Practicals and labs were well managed in the schedule every day in between the lectures.

Admission

CAP round took place which was conducted by the AICTE. First fill out the forms, list your clg preferences, then first list out of total four gets released. If you get your desired clg then go to that clg and then carry out the remaining formalities. Else wait for next list to be released.

Faculty

2.5

Faculty is average and this is the area I think should improve a lot. They should be monitored for their teaching. Majority of the teachers are not inclined towards teaching and hence don't develop any interest regarding the subject in students. They just read out the stuff from textbooks (local authors). Only few experienced faculty teach in good manner.

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
