Remarks
Good Remarks: The ambience that this college has is amazing. You get to grow as a person. If you have that spark inside you, the college will transform it into fire for sure. Bad Remarks: Few like choice of Electives. Digitizing, and streamlining fees deposit process.
Entrance Preview
KIITEE-2011, Rank: 5081. I had got a 8K rank in VIT too, and pretty good ranks in WB Entrance, OJEE. (except IIT, AIEEE :P) I attended the first counseling at VIT where I got IT Branch. But in 2011, IT recession was there, so I didn't opt for this branch. Next counseling was scheduled at KIIT. I got ETC branch. Although I wanted CSE, nevertheless ETC was also my favorite. So I opted this branch here, and didn't go for other counselings at other colleges
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is as per AICTE. If you are interested for research, college will help you with online journals, compensations. I myself published one paper in IEEE, and have known many students publishing their journals in IEEE. Electives are just for name sake. This is the area where college needs to improve.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are provided sometimes as Pre-placement offers, and sometimes as probation. Companies like HP (15K), Inautix (10K), Infosys(11K), Wipro(12K) do call during 8th semester. There are many more companies though.
Placement Experience
All deserving and even a level down students get job opportunities. Its for sure that if you have dedicated your self at least 50% in some or the other serious activities in the college, you will be recruited by Day-1 companies (Accenture, Wipro, Cognizant, IBM, Infosys). The average package of Day-1 companies are around 3.45 lacs. Placement Stats: CSE, IT, ETC, EEE - Placed over 95 % Mechanical, Civil - Placed over 80% Package: Deloitte (4.5L), Mu-Sigma(18 Lacs over 3 Years), Tek-Systems (6L), Cybage(3 L), Inautix (around 3 L), HP (6L), SAP (8L), Intel (10L), Ericsson(3.6L) The higher paying companies hire around 10-11 students at max.The day-1 IT companies recruit in bulk with over 80% students of B.Tech getting placed. You get chances of multiple opportunities depending on your earlier placements.

KIIT is known for its cultural diversity too. University Level Annual Tech/Cultural Fest: One of the largest in East India for sure with many prizes to win, and celebrity nights. Participation is huge. College Level Seminars, Workshops, Conferences.

Fees and Financial Aid
Not sure about it. But I remember faintly that Allahabad bank do provide in-campus loan. But you can always avail loan from your home place bank.
Campus Life
Campus Life: This is one of the most important reason you can opt for KIIT. Its amazing! You grow in person. You learn many things in every domain. Gender Ratio: Pretty good :P Diversity: People from around the world do come. But in B.Tech its rarely observed. But some students exchange programs are there. Extra-Curricular Activity: Lots of! The college has a special wing named as Students' Activity Center dedicated for this. Robotics, Aeronautics, Dance, Singing, Painting, Women empowerment, Literary, etc are few of the names. I myself was the co-coordinator for Robotics Society. We do organize multiple events on monthly and annual basis. Classes are also taken for these. Robotics Society: https://www.facebook.com/kiitroboticssociety/
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are awesome, and so are the facility that these hostel provide. Hostel Rooms: Very spacious (3 Beds, 3 tables). Decent light, 24*7 backup. Amazing Wi-Fi: Ulimate speed, unlimited till 2015 batch. Now there is some weekly limit of about 3 GB per week (not sure fully) Mess: Food quality is good and better than many other colleges. Discipline: First year can't move out till 6 months. Second year on wards time limits are there for girls. Fees: 30 K Ragging never happens.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni Group is there on google groups (kiit_alumni@googlegroups.com), and annual alumni meet do occur every year at Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and few more places.
Exam Structure
The college follows 8 semester structure. Each semester has 2 exams: Mid Sem, End Sem. Mid Sem (20 marks: Test, 20 Marks; Internal (on your performance in class) End Sem (60 marks: Test) Some semesters like 3rd is very hectic, while semesters like 6,7,8 are chilling. Gaps are pretty good.
Admission
Form: You get it very easily at kiit.ac.in. There is no fee for the form. Keep checking the site from December itself. Exam Difficulty: Average Counselling: They charged 55,000 for counselling out of which 50,000 was refundable if you opt out. Admission: They will call you on rank driven slot basis. And you will be taken around the campus for visit. After counselling is complete, you will be called for hostel accommodation just a week before the session starts.
Faculty
Faculties are good. Some are very good with decent research work. But like all places, college do have faculties which are not up to the par. But most of them are good, and intellectual. Communications, Embedded Faculty: Very good. Antenna: Superb with decent research work. ETC Labs: Very good, fully equipped. Improvement Area: Theory + Practical classes to go together (Hardly happens in Indian Colleges)
