Review of my college

Overall, I won't recommend this college to anyone. Reasons: 1. Poor Placement. 2. College located in rural area. 3. College rules are very strict but in accordance with rules performance of college for students is very poor.

I had appeared for MHT-CET, scored 84/200 in the exam. I had opted this college because it is having good infra, it is A grade institute and most of the courses were NBA accrediated. Also, hostel and food cost is less compared to big cities as this college is located in Rural area.

I had opted for Electrical Engineering course. The course structure was traditional as the college was under university. The course structure was good overall but lacks with practical and updated technologies in todays time. The electives in the final year of course was good. One of them was Renewable Energy Sources. I think this course was good because the future is going to be operating these sources.

The college give internship for second year M. Tech students, who have qualified in GATE exam. Stipend is between Rs. 8000 to 10000

Till year 2012 placement was good. But after year 2012, graph of placements and job opportunities is declining. About 80 to 100 placed out of 600 students. Companies visited college are: Zensar Technologies Ltd., Pune, Torrento Power, Mumbai, Tech Mahindra, Pune, Scope T& M Pvt Ltd., Pune, Mindtree, Bangalore, TCS, Pune , Kirloskar Group, Pune , Kalyani Infotech, Pune, Lucas - TVS Ltd., Pune, etc. They offered between Rs. 1.2 lakh to 5 lakhs per annum

Every department organize their Technical event each year. Also, another technical event is organized by college for all departments. And one cultural event is organized in the end of January or in the beginning of February, name of which is "Virungla". These events are fairly big and participated enthusiastically.

College fees is about Rs. 1 Lakh for one academic year. Hostel fees is about Rs. 20000/- Monthly food by College Mess is about Rs. 2500/- Overall the fees of college is expensive. Food and living in hostel is feasible. Because, the college is located in rural area.

Scholarship / loan facility is not provided by the college. However, the scholarships provided by State and Central government is applicable to the respective students. Students who want to study on loan have to take educational loan on their own from any banks.

Campus life of this college is quite good. You can easily get socialized with people if you want to. The gender ratio is almost equal. No much gap in gender ratio, except in Mechanical, Civil and Automobile Engineering courses of college. Students are exposed to many extracurricular activities, be it sports, workshops, non-technical events. These events are very good.

Hostel facility provided by college is excellent. Washrooms, Hostel building corridor, and rooms in the hostel are cleaned by Cleaning Personnel everyday. Hostel surrounding is pleasant as it is having two lawns and many trees well planted and taken care of by hostel staff. One hostel room in shared by three beds. There are Seven buildings for hostels. Hostel fees is about rs. 20000 and monthly mess charges are Rs. 2500 (approx.) Hostel food is average. PG is about Rs. 15000 to 20000 per year (only rent)

Alumni network is really weak in this college. Seniors are interactive and very helpful. They will always guide you in almost everything.

Exams and Labs are very frequent as this college have become autonomous institute. Very hectic schedule. Attendance of 75% per subject per month is compulsory. If due to some reasons you can not make the attendance of 75% per subject per month, institute takes strict action. If attendance is very poor, student gets detained for the term.

Some faculties of college are very good but some faculties ain't that good. This college does have mixed type of faculties like good, bad, poor. Some faculties does have good knowledge and have good communication with students. while on the other hand, some faculties are very poor in knowledge and does have poor communication techniques.
