- Nature. There is mountains everywhere and you can just get lost in the beauty of it.
- Tourism Places. There are a lot of places to visit from here and enjoy.
Dislikes
- Campus itself. The campus seems very nice at first but its just not that great.
- Food sometimes is too bad and one can't eat it.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I had an interest in Computers. There is 1 faculty per average of 90 students in lectures and 30 students in labs. Almost all the faculty are PhD. We have exams every 1.5 months and there are 3 exams per sem which are kind of a little hard to score but easy to pass.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for campus placements from the 7th sem. Amazon is one of the highest paying recruiters here with an average of 17LPA. This year's highest package was 47LPA from Amazon (off campus). And there is an average of 4LPA. About 90% of students get placed. I might do a job for a few years and then start my own business.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fee is a little higher than most of the other colleges. But it's too much for the hostel fee ie.80000 per semester. There are not much of scholarships that I know of and jobs on campus are very bad, this year students had to face many problems while taking up placements. There were not many companies willing to take up students from this college.
Campus Life
LF( Le Fiestus) is the college's main annual fest and Murious is the biggest tech fest of JUIT. Murious is held in the even semester in Feb-March and LF is held in April. The library is rich in books from every department. There are badminton courts and basketball courts on the campus and a Football field too which is about 1/4 of an average football field. There is a total of 7 clubs and 6 committees.
Hostel Facilities
The room has a fan and electric supply 24/7 but when they run on an inverter, then there is no plug working to charge equipment. Meals are fine and the menu changes every month with minor changes. Registration for a hostel is easy but affordability is not so good. You have to pay 80000 per sem which can b minimized to about 40-50000 per sem if you get a pg PGs are easily available near the college.
Admission
Eligibility Varied based on the program, generally 10+2 or equivalent with a minimum aggregate percentage. Entrance exams like JEE, CAT, and GATE may be required. Find the form on the official website. Instructions, fees, and dates are available there. Physical forms may be obtained from the admission office, and online portals may be used for submission. Government guidelines for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PWD, and Kashmiri Migrants. Seats are reserved as per government percentages. Relevant documentation is required during the application. Enhance transparency by providing clear information. Simplify the application process, and implement an efficient online system. Establish prompt communication channels. Emphasize merit-based admissions for fairness and recognition of deserving candidates.
