Remarks

the college is overall a very good environment to live in with a lot of motivated students and a lot of opportunities and hobbies a person can in cult.

Entrance Preview

Jee mains is required to get admitted to the college. i scored 133 marks in the exam and 83.2 in 12th standard. i chose this college because it was close to my location and it was always in good books

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

the course curriculum is a regular mechanical engineering one. There is less focus given to the research but the course is timely completed by 30 lectures in every subject. it does have a lot of practicals and theory sessions and respectively tests are taken from time to time.

Internships Opportunities

college provides internship. usually in the mechanical department there is no success internship story but there are always good internships in computers and electronics departments.

Placement Experience

3.5

placement n the mechanical department are still less as compared to the computers and electronics departments. we have seen Salonika tractors and design tech as some core recruiters all offering less than 15000 pm. there were also placement from WIPRO. But there is 100%placements in computers and electronics departments.

College Events

5

there are a lot of cultural and technical fests that are celebrated in the college. for this all the students are divided into five groups irrespective of the course of study they are having in the university. they all participate together. the technical fests like titiksha are usually controlled by engineering students and every celebration is taken out in the university for about 3 days.

Fee Structure And Facilities

fee structure has increase with time. During my admission the fee annually was 105000 but now the annual fee is like 235000 with a bunch of new scholarship schemes introduced. the infrastructure in the university is rapidly increasing and getting better day by day.

Fees and Financial Aid

there is no loan facility but there are a bunch of scholarships that are introduced in the recent years. the topper of every semester gets the tuition fee refund. there are also a few which are introduce this year regarding the admission.

Campus Life

4.5

the campus life is the best part about the college. the gender ration is good and there are very diverse students studying in the university. almost every sport and hobby you can think of can be done at the campus. the students are friendly and you get to interact with the people from the other courses. there are interdepartmental parties for sure and there are a lot and lot of workshops which are controlled by the student bodies. there is tolerance to nearly every thing. not in my 4 years of college i have seen any hate crime or something like that. it is a very cool surrounding to nearly everyone and student of any economic background could live in the campus as the rates are very moderate.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

the university is a compulsory hostel residence.the hostel is good in infrastructure with clean surroundings, good internet, sports facility within every hostel. the mess food is generally is not very good in taste but its clean and healthy. the menu is decided through student representatives.

Alumni/Alumna

there is a small alumni network in the college but it is mostly unresponsive. a lot of efforts are being made to get it right but still there is a lot of work to be done

Exam Structure

There are 3 exams every semester. it goes like minor 1 minor 2 and majors. there are practical exams along with every exam. the exam days are very hectic because they are conducted for 3 consecutive days for minors and 7 8 days for majors. minors are 1 hour exams which are conducted 2 subjects per day. the major are 3 hour exams which are taken 1 subject per day

Admission

The admission process was through csab. i was contacted through e mail and was given a couple of dates to select from. The process was a general admission processes that you expect from a jee entrance. once you reach the venue you will get to know the process which s firstly the admission in administration then admission to the hostel.

Faculty

3.5

the faculty is quiet qualified. the department has almost M tech degree holders along with some PhD doctorates as well. the teachers are always interested and helpful with the students. With the new rules only the phd teachers are appointed. the faculty particularly in this department is not very strict with the attendance and usually helpful with everything like cultural activities and others.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.
