Likes

The extra curricular activities they provide and we can engage with is superb
The music department in which i was very interested

Since it was located in the outskirts of a city it felt very isolated
The crowd in the canteen was something i did not like

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum was very good and I was able to absorb as much as I could they provided both theoretical and practical knowledge I was very satisfied after I spent my four years in my college

Class Size: 102Course Fees: INR 350000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is 50000 per month and as not actively participating in the scholarship structures I am not quite aware of the structures of scholarship they provide but in terms of extra activities they are very forward

Campus Life

Life at the campus is very chill as there is a lot of intermingling between various groups of students from the different background the social life is exhilarating the infrastructure is huge and the campus has many buildings with a massive group in the centre of the campus

Admission

It was easy and I gave Wbjee in 2014 and secured a 40000 rank and got placed into an engineering college firstly after the results were out I had to undergo a counselling process in which I had to select a college into which I wanted to get inducted that step was completed I got admission in my college

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

THERE ARE FAR BETTER OPTIONS

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

I choose this college because this college was good in among all the average colleges in West Bengal leaving the top colleges. The placement is also good. So for all this reason I choose this college. I wanted to go for heritage but my name didn't came in cutoff.
