Remarks

The college adminstration and management is really good. The college is situated tight in the middle of city. The college just should look towards building a Boys' Hostel. Also it does not have a satisfactory canteen facility. These two things must be improved. Rest all about the staff, curriculum and teaching is one of the best in the city. It also organises and encourage students for big events and workshops.

Entrance Preview

I took admission in Direct Second Year (DSE) and opted for Mechanical Engineering after completing Diploma in Mechanical Engineering where I scored 80℅ aggregate. Mechanical was always my passion. I always wanted to be a pilot but while growing up, I realized that it's not flying a fighter jet excites me it's just the the fighter jet what does. This I realized by having the same excitement for driving bikes and cars as I grew up. So basically I was passionate about machines and there's no other branch other than mechanical which can bring me close to them.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course structure is well focused. The college complies with curriculum of Savitribai Phule Pune University which is approved by the AICTE. FE consists of all the basic subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Engineering Graphics and Engineering Mechanics which gives the base knowledge for the core Mechanical subjects. SE consists of subjected like Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Advanced Thermodynamics, Theory of Machines I, Strength of Materials, Manufacturing Processes which are core Mechanical subjects. TE consists of Machine Design I and II, Theory of Machines II, and specialized application subjects like Turbo machinery, Hydraulics and Pneumatics, Heat Transfer, Metrology and Quality Control etc.

Internships Opportunities

No it does not provide internship. I think our college should eagerly look in to providing internships as it helps alot to then to gain the industrial experience.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement and job opportunities are fairly good. Recently Rushabh Instruments Pvt Ltd, Nashik visited the college for pool campus with a good annual package of 3.6 LPA for Mechanical, ENTC, Electrical and Comp branch. Rushabh Instrumentation visits our college every year. Also other companies are expected to come to the campus this year.

College Events

4

Almost every branch in the college has its own technical event. Mechanical organised Mechanza every year in January which is followed by events by each branch. Students actively participate in organizing and also in the events. Campaigning for the event is done in the colleges all over Nashik and a good response is obtained every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible I would say. It's the same as many other colleges. The fee structure for open category is around 75000/- and for OBC it is 37000/- and for SC/ST it is 4000/- It also provides various schemes and scholarship for EBC students.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college provides a scholarship for the ebc students who have scored first class on their curriculum i.e. above 60℅ marks and who secure no other scholarship by government The scholarship is given by the Maratha Samaj itself to help the needy. It is a good initiative by the college.

Campus Life

3.5

Gender ratio is the same as seen in other colleges. IT and Comp Engg and ENTC always have a large no of girls as compared to boys. But in case if Mechanical where the no of girls are usually less is sufficiently high in our college. Workshops and Expert lectures are also often carried out. There is a large diversity in student. Students from almost all religion are present in college. Many students who are EBC take admission due to various schemes by the institution to provide them scholarships.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel facilities are good. The hostel is situated just behind the A building within the college campus. But the only problem is hostel facility is available only for girls. There is no boys hostel. The security provided to the girls hostel is also good and the mess food is up to the mark. The rooms are given on sharing basis and availability of seats are enough. There is sufficient accommodation for girls. But no accommodation to boys due to absence of boys hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

There's not much Alumni contact with the present students. I think our college should look in to it and form a firm committee of those to visit clg occasionally and share all their experiences.

Exam Structure

The labs are well equipped I would say. All the experiments which are stated in the curriculum are carried out. There are only 2-3 colleges in Nashik who have a boiler setup for Thermodynamics practicals and our college is one of them. Even other colleges come to visit our college to perform the practical. Other labs like Fluid Mechanics and Thermodynamics lab also has all the stated machinery and setups and they are well maintained. The Dynamics of Machinery lab has a Multichannel FFT Analyzed which is also present only in few colleges.

Admission

The admission process is quite well managed. I got the CAP Application Kit from one of the ARc centres and filled the CAP from online which included the details of my diploma and other personal details. After 2 weeks the merit list got displayed. 4 days after the merit list for displayed I filled the option form for applying the course of Mechanical Engineering and priority of the colleges. I got allotted this college through CAP (Centralised Admission Process) process on 24th August 2014 in the Round I itself. It was followed by approaching college and submitting the allotment letter from CAP process and other documents. When everything was verified, the final thing left was paying the fees.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty available is cooperative and highly qualified. All the professors at have atleast a Master's Degree in Engineering and many of them also have PhD and almost all others who have Masters degree are Pershing PhD. The staff is excellent I would say. The lectures are carried out regularly and there always stands a informative atmosphere.
