Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because my elder brother suggested me. All faculties members have done their Ph.D. degree from a reputed institute. apart from ca examination, weekly tests are also held by respective hods.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 410000 per year

Placement Experience

generally, Students from the fifth semester and onwards start to get placed. Many companies like Tcs Wipro Infosys etc come to this college and select students on the basis of student's skills. About 90 students out of 100 got placed in this college.

Fees and Financial Aid

To do B.Tech in computer science and engineering department or from any other department you have to pay about 410000 for completing the course. Many scholarships like Kanyashree and Vivekananda swami scholarships are available in this college. The government also supports financial help.

Campus Life

Annual fest and technical fest are held every year in the month of April or May. Apart from these, Many sports events like kabaddi, cricket, and code events are also held. many social clubs like the coding club, and tech club are present there.

Admission

To take admission to Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata you have to clear the West Bengal joint entrance exam WBJEE or Joint Entrance Exam JEE. you can also take direct admission but it will cost more. Your rank should be below 3000 to take admitted to the computer science and engineering department.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
