My college journey

As far as a collage is concerned, most important aspect is the quality of education imparted to students. If the standard of teaching is not upgraded, it will keep on generating students with less productivity. i realised that from my entire education experience from the collage.

I wrote JEE entrance exam to become qualified for B Tech admission. This collage was in near vicinity from my residence and was one of the best collages in kerala which is one of the reason i landed up in this collage. There was an interview for being admitted in this collage and was held by the principal. At the time of my admission, the course i pursued had a great employment opportunity, which made me choose the same as my professional course..

The course i chose was very interesting, though there was not much focus given on the practical learning which was really mandatory for my course. There was not any research initiative taken by the institute.The elective options were given, but in depth knowledge was not provided for those subjects which made them a waste of time.

There were industrial visits offered from collage. There was no internships arranged.

Our collage did manage to bring some companies to recruit.i believe 45 percentage of students were placed in different companies. Wipro, infosys,UST global, NGA were some of the companies which came for recruitment. Avarage package offered was 20000 INR

My collage was so good in arranging fests. Bharatham (Art fest), Prayaan,Techathon (Tech Fest). They were huge compared to other collages. Minimum 5000 people come from outside. All the fest were well organised and well supported by the collage authorities.

The fee structure is not affordable for a middle class family. and its way too much for the standard of education provided. it was around 75000 per year.

I am proud to say that our collage provide reduction in fees for students with low financial capacity. No loan is provided in our collage.

There were tremendous opportunities for those who are willing to present there talents. but it is not a platform to explore our inner talents. its been a busy platform for those who want to start there talent exploration.

I was not in hostel. From what i heard, they were staying on sharing basis(4 people in a room). There was not any single room. They did not had any PG. I am not aware of the cost, but i guess it was affordable. Food was not bad. it was affordable and normal healthy diet.

Yes the alumini interaction is strong, well organised and going well. It contributes towards making the network of students strong every year, thereby increasing the job opportunities and placement facilities for the upcoming batches of students.

In the beginning it was tiring , but towards the end we all get used to it as it is a matter of survival.

The faculty were obviously qualified and experienced,but unfortunately they can only impart what they consumed in there education, which was not up to the standard. for past few years number of courses have increased but the standard of education is going down. Most of the faculty are interactive but the standard of education is questionable. Most of them fail to deliver the practical side of the subjects.
