Remarks

Supportive management is the highlight. Unlike other colleges here students can directly tell any problems yo management wing and they will strongly support it.

Entrance Preview

I passed Kerala engineering entrance examination in 2013.I came to know about this college through advertisement posters. Yes, I was interviewed by college principal before my admission. It was my passion to attain an engineering degree so i tried to achieve it.

Course Curriculum Overview

Engineering degree in mechanical department gave me good knowledge about the working of machine,automobiles,designing of mechanical parts, quality engineering management etc. Ofcourse, we had college club to encourage new project developments students. My elective is Quality engineering and management.

Internships Opportunities

Yes there was internship program.i have done my internship in Steel and forgings limited undertaken by kerala government.Gave a handsome knowledge about forging process.

College was very interested in conducting technical events in the college.our mechanical team conducted the program named"VIBRANIUM 2K17" in our final year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee was little bit expencieve for me.My college fee was approximately about four lakhs for my whole course.The fee is more expensive for mechanical engineering.

Yes college provide scholarship for who scored well in twelfth standard exam and on the basis of performance in kerala engineering entrance.

college life experience helped me to achieve both academic and moral knowledge to step out with a different way into this beautiful professional world.

It was a chill culture and gave a friendly enviornment to enhance ourselves to the heights.

Faculty

Well experienced and qualified faculties is the one of the highlight of my college.The faculties are supportive throughout day and night.They are even ready to take night classes to develop their students to achieve a good future. Management wing is highly cooperative and the supportive too.college conducts different programs which provide a good exposure to the students. practical labs are well setup. labs are always avail to the students to do their academic projects .well infrastructures campus.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?
