Course Curriculum Overview
Civil engineers are world builders of the future. The faculty-student ratio of GECT is about 1:15 which is the standard ratio proposed by AICTE. GECT has updated its teaching method and the university allows sufficient time to study for exams.
Internships Opportunities
Internship possibilities are also open in the college, GECT provides internship opportunities in companies like Confident Group and the PWD sector. A Company called Baton System provided internships with a stipend for the student who are interested.
Placement Experience
GECT has 90% placement assurance. Many companies like Shoba Constructions, L & T, TCS, and Infosys have visited GECT for hiring students. The average offer is 6LPA to 9LPA. Companies will start the placement process when the student reaches the final year or 7th semester. I'm planning for higher studies after getting a college degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is very low in GECT it is around 8850/- for general students and therefore the fee is low because the college is run by the government. There are several scholarships like E-Grantz and MCM to help students.
Campus Life
Annual fest and tech fest in Dyuthi and Concetto which is conducted in GECT. Moreover, College has the best library which will help students to acquire books for study. Many Clubs like Oasis, NSS, and ICI are also present in the college.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are very good even the college provides hostel facilities. Food and accommodations are fine and they are providing tasty and healthy food for the students. The registration process is through college websites and yearly allotment will be published for eligible students.
Admission
The student must complete higher secondary education in the science stream to write the entrance exam for acquiring admission to the B.Tech degree. The entrance exam which conducts the selection procedure for the admission test is named KEAM (Kerala Engineering Architecture and Medical).
