Course Curriculum Overview
I chose microbiology as my career because I was really interested in this subject. Later on, when I came to college and I got introduced to the faculty, I started to like the subject even more. The faculty of the college is one of the best faculty I have ever come across in my entire life. The faculty-student ratio is appreciable. Every 5 months we have a term exam that tests the understanding of the students. Faculty takes tremendous efforts in making students understand the concept and how to apply the particular concept.
Internships Opportunities
Companies like TIFR, and RCF offer internships for the students of our college. Many labs also provide internship opportunities. Department of Microbiology also offers a professional course on pharmaceutical microbiology which costs around 5000 rupees which is very helpful for students pursuing microbiology, biotechnology, or chemistry course.
Placement Experience
It depends on the course you have chosen, in what companies you can get into. Few companies do visit colleges for campus placements and also offer quite good packages for students. My plans are to complete my masters after this degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
If you choose an aided course then the fees are quite less and much more affordable. There are concessions in fees for the students eligible for reservations who come under the categories like SC, ST, OBC, etc.
Campus Life
The college has an annual fest called TALENTIA, which provides students with a platform to showcase their talents in front of the whole college. It is conducted in the month of January. Also, all the classrooms are equipped with projector screens which make learning easier for students.
Admission
Admission includes online registration which charges a few amounts for registration and after the period of applying is over, the merit list is displayed with the cut-off marks. You can get the registration link on the official website of the college. Degree courses require a minimum qualification of 10+2 and fields based on your choice.
