Remarks
Politics plays a very vital role in this college and the government in power in the state has a very large impact on the University, this would have been an IIEST, but wasn't made ever due to this only.
Entrance Preview
Exam CUSAT CAT score : 236/300 one of the best colleges and was proposed to be an IIEST as decided by the Union Government.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very detailed and covers most of the topics which may not be covered in many engineering colleges. The course structure is almost similar to the one of IIT Madras.
Internships Opportunities
There was no such college internship offered by the college but the students need to arrange for their internships in other organizations. The college does help in getting an internship/vocational training in the big organizations.
Placement Experience
There are generally 25-30 companies visiting the campus, mostly on the IT industry side there are a companies like TCS, Wipro, Aricent, IOCL, OIL, GAIL, etc which come for campus the average salary lies between 3-4 lpa.
College Events
The college as well as the university organizes technical, cultural and sports festivals in the campus every year it is mostly managed by the students and has a participation of about 25 colleges in these.
Fee Structure And Facilities
I can say this is the best thing of studying here, I have never seen such a cheap fee structure for the rest of my schoolmates. The avg semester fee was around 22 thousand per semester only.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is no such facility available for scholarships, but the Kerallite SC/ST student get the subsidized fee structure the college supports in get a loan approved from a bank.
Campus Life
The extracurricular activities had to be taken up by the students only, be it in execution or participation there are so many things to take part in the University campus, its only up to the student to discover them and take them up.
Hostel Facilities
Two sharing hostel rooms are available at a nominal rate of 500 rupees only the food is decent and both north indian and south indian food is available.
Alumni/Alumna
Lesser alumni interaction people rarely come back to college, and not a strong alumni association too efforts are being made, but till then I passed out.
Exam Structure
Labs do happen every week twice and that seemed pretty fine in a week.The exams were also held thrice, 2 internal and one university exam which was distributed evenly in the semester span.
Faculty
The faculty are punctual and classes happen on time yes there is a shortage of faculties in some of the departments but its fulfilled by the PG students taking classes in part time.
