Remarks

Well it's peaceful and very motivating college. If you will work hard and do Innovative then college Is going to help in every way possible.

Entrance Preview

Direct Admission through jee main ranks (no reservation based on cast). There is also reservation for j&k students. Engineering always been my passion and doing it with being in lap of the nature itself..

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is mostly based on IIT Delhi. Which is similar to most of the college but being a university we do also get philosophy subject as electives. Many electives are there like professional ethics, management ,human virtues, introduction to logic and advance logic and may be some programming in future too. Labs are very good .I'm from ECE and we have best labs likes of xilinx lab, cenic lab, Intel 5g lab, communication lab and many more. The cse deptt also opening a lab in collaboration with adobe. College primarily focus on research as we have our own incubation centre i.e SMVDU-TBIC. which had already funded many startup by our students As research initiative the college has setup a lab in collaboration with Intel on 5g development and they are in talk with reliance jio as well.

Internships Opportunities

Well for Btech it doesn't provide any internship although if any study bagged any internship then college will pay some of its expense as well. College also give you travel expenses for attending any workshop or seminar or participating in any competition

Placement Experience

3.5

Well that's pretty gray area.. Off campus placement of college is very gud as we have alumni in apple and yahoo and facebook but when it comes to on campus, the companies that visited are TCS, WIPRO, ORANGE, Indian navy, Indian Air Force. The numbers are changing every year and they are also displayed by college but last year ,the cse and ECE placement was about 50 percent. The average package is about 4lac. Although we received an A upgrade from TCS, means the avg package will be around 5.5lacs now.

College Events

4.5

1 technical fest is there -TITIKSHA 1 CULTURAL FEST couple of management fest and some literary fest are also there. Titiksha is very gud and it is the biggest tech fest of jammu and Kashmir state, local vendors and business men are the organisers and the whole event is handled mostly by students. People and student frm outside also comes and the events is followed by DJ night .. College contribute half of the expense and rest are arranged from organisers.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Well the fee structure is exactly between govt and private college.. For Btech if you are taking admission through jee main and your rank is below 50k then u are most likely too get scholarship i. e 2 year no tuition fee and there is another scholarship too i. e if ur semester grade is above 8.5 u will again have not to pay tuition fee.. For others.. In Btech.. Hostel -20k per year Mess-28k per year Tuition fee -1.2 Lakh per year Though little variation are there every year in the mess fee.

Fees and Financial Aid

If your jee main rank is below 50k then u are most likely too get scholarship .you will not be paying tuition fee for 2 years. Although the scholarship scheme are subject to change. There is also a result based scholarships i.e if your semester grade is above 8.5 you will get a full tuition fee waiver for next semester.

Campus Life

4.5

College participate in AIU sports meet every year and also have trials of it, except sports there are several program too like Hindi pakhwara, talent hunt, concordance, speech competition and college also participate in MOOD Indigo so students can really do a lot, there are various active clubs too like music, dance, drama, theatre, coding etc. Annually college also organise some events and invite other colleges as well which also give us a lot of exposure.

Hostel Facilities

4

It Is a residential university means you have to stay in hostel. For first year you will get a doublet where you can choose your roommate. For second year if your cgpa is above 7 then u will get singlet else triplet. And in 3rd and 4th u will get singlet. Although these rule are changing every year. The fee is same 20k per year in all case.. Mess is average as obviously we can't get home food. Student can make their own messs routine collectively. Food is average. Something good something bad.

Alumni/Alumna

College organised alumni meet every year, where we interact with them, and it also organised workshop in collaboration with alumni too. Overall there is a contribution from alumni too.

Exam Structure

There are 3 xam in a semester i.e minor 1,minor2 and major. Minors are of 20 marks and major of 10 marks.. And generally two papers per day is there in exam. About labs, they are there based on your semester and stream. Sometimes labs are 4 times in a week but it's still is chill as labs are very interesting.

Faculty

4

Teaching here is based on feedback so it has to be good as after every semester each student have to give feedback about their teachers and those feedback are taken seriously so teaching is very good and teachers are very interactive or they have to be interactive due to that feedback thing. About the experience, most of our facilities had done PhD and release several papers at international platforms too and many of them are IIT alumni. So overall the faculty and teaching standard are way better than most of the colleges

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.
